Too much freedom isn't always good 1 Attachment(s) So . . . Natalie and I decided to head to the gym this afternoon. Because Bailey's been such a good boy, instead of keeping him confined to the kitchen area, we let him have free reign. Oops! He ran upstairs into Natalie's office, jumped up on her desk, knocked off the pens, papers and a tote. Then grabbed the fish food container for the Beta, crunched it open and ate what was left inside. He then jumped down on the floor and proceeded to chew away. While we both were laughing, I did all I could to let him know how unhappy we were. He wouldn't even come in the room. In fact at first he took off downstairs and high tailed it around the corner and out of site. Later, he came back up and took his reprimand like a man! We didn't do anything much, because we kept laughing when he rolled over on his back as if to say: "Aww come on I'm still a little boy!" Here's the aftermath! |
Oh my what a little stinker. I hope his tummy will be ok after eating the fish food. |
It sounds like he had a good time...they can be such little stinkers..LOL |
Oh my! My Ryder likes electrical cords! :( We always keep a close eye on him though, so he never gets into danger! |
They are opportunists at times. Max will toilet paper the house if I don't keep a close eye. I feel your pain!! :) |
Definitely looks like a Terrier Tornado went through! :headspin: |
It looks like he had a party while you were gone.:D |
Sounds like he had a one doggie party. lol |
Uh oh! Tee hee...these little ones can get themselves into trouble very fast but how can we be upset when they stare up at us with that face?! ;) |
They don't call'em terriers for nothin. Lol |
Too funny! |
yep I lost an nintendo power cord, my dh retainer, shoes and barbie hands and feet that way. That was about 5 1/2 yrs ago though it does get better |
thankfully he didnt invite any friends ova!!! hehehe. |
oh my, looks like I'm in for it in September, we're moving into a bachelor apartment when I go to law school, and that means Harley will no longer have his own room, he'll have free rein... clearly I'm going to learn to be a lot cleaner lol. And I'm going to have carpets :S lol. quite the little partier your baby is! |
oh my that little bugger, did he get ink on the rug, that fish food must have tasted yummy:animal36, how old is he. I let Lola have the run of the house (sort of) when I go out, but it takes forever to get out the door. First I make sure every door is closed upstairs then I do the same thing on the main level, I pick up all toys off the floor and anything else she might get into, then I usually have to run back up once or twice because i forgot something, she follows me up and gets in the bedroom and will not come out, so I run around to catch her, close everything back up again. It's crazy because it can take a half hour till I am out the door. Then LOL I come home only to find a roll of toilette paper shredded all over the great room because my DH came home while I was out, opened half the doors then went back outside to work on something:mad:, It's maddening, so I can definitely relate. Sometimes I just give in and take her with because I don't have the time to batten down the hatches:D |
Ralph's favorite thing to do is eat paper towels and toilet paper. The scariest thing was when I came home to ralph sitting on my island in the kitchen!! I just got new barstools that were pretty short in height, because my island is super small so Ralph jumped on the barstool and climbed to the island, hoping to find food, Thank goodness there was nothing there. But when I got there his face was like uhhhh. So now I have to hide the barstools in my bathroom so he wont do that. |

I was scared at first but then laughed! He didn't. He is a jumper. Like if he determines he wants to get somewhere he will haha! But usually he can never get down. Like he will jump on my couch which is pretty low but getting down he just gives me this look. So sometimes he will jump on the couch when I leave and I will find him sitting on it barking at the floor hahah:p |
I can leave all of mine when I go except Molly, because she is blind and now Little dude, (Gizmo) because he is not housebroken yet. I do have to put up all the garbage cans in the house because that is the one thing Sadie Mae goes after. I always tell her.....You are a princess and they do not eat garbage |
I'll bet he's had his eye on that fish food for a while! What a tasty treat. They can be so funny. Gracie loves to chew pens. If I leave one laying around she will grab it and take off some where and chew it. If I leave the pens in the cup that I keep them in she won't touch them even if I'm not home. The cup is right where she can reach it if she wanted to. I don't get how that little brain works! Glad I don't have fish.:) |

ha ha... Bailey would chew through cords and such when he was a puppy. Remy just finds a way to watch for our return out the window:rolleyes: |
How funny! He definitely took advantage of the situation :D My two still don't have free range for more than a couple hours because they get into trouble. My male (3.5 years old!) will find whatever he can to eat. He has gotten into the lower cupboards, climbed up on the counter, on the coffee table... you name it to get to food. LOL |
