mother missing her pups Bella is a first time mom and we finally sold the last baby cause that's what they are my baby's and it's been about a wk and finally i'm noticing that she's been very clingy lately is that normal? I know she was a bit jealous of the puppy's at times but now she just wants to be with me 24/7 I enjoy her company but is this normal? she is 2 yrs and is as spoiled as can be any feed back. |
How old were her babies? Yorkie mommas dont look to loose their babies until they are at least 12 weeks old....separating a Yorkie momma from her babies before that time, often does have an emotional and traumatic sense of loss from the momma, and the babies also suffer from the premature separation. |
Life Changes Yorkies are emotional creatures. If something in their world changes, they often need a adjustment period to settle into a new routine. I have watched Yorkies grieve when a life long play mate died. I have seen them pace, when a child goes off to school. I saw one adopt a toy when her baby was born dead, another was very clingy for two weeks after her puppies were adopted. Just give it time is my advice. Hugs |
Lonely As a matter of fact they were 13wks old I just wanted to be on the safe side I read all the books and had a yorkie breeder helping me. I just wanted to know if it was normal |
