One thing after another... frustrating 1 Attachment(s) His breath is awful.. has been for as long as I remember. Last night, while I was in the shower, he had an accident in the house (i suspect) because in the middle of the floor in the living room, there was evidence stuck to our hardwood floor. He ate it! Had to take him to the vet for a follow up appointment for the ringworm he had a month or so ago, and the vet laughed after checking his teeth seeing no sign of tartar or problems, saying maybe eating poop is whats causing his bad breath. Ugh. and now that his hair is growing back after the ringworm made it fall out.. seems he is better. Yesterday I had to go to the doctor and I have ringworm! And this morning, my husband found he had the same marks as I have. Oh and on top of all this.. the medical baths the vet had us giving Olly 2x a week has dried his skin out so now he keeps my husband awake all night.... he sounds like thumper when scratching- his foot hitting the bottom of his kennel. The vet today told me to decrease the baths to once every two weeks. maybe it will help. I hope so... My dog is definitely not on my husbands favorite list right now. thanks for letting me vent! |
aaaw, he may have bad breath but he sure is adorable, love that face. |
Awe sorry your going through all this. Everything will work out decrease the bathing for sure. Oh and tell your husband to drink some strong coffee in the morning and he will be fine:p Sorry that's not nice but it will get better. It really does take time. Also the breath thing Yorkies are prone to having bad teeth and will need a dental cleaning once a year to help. I am sure him eating poop doesn't help though. PS I don't know how anyone can be mad at him look at that sweet face! He looks so much like my sweet stinky breath Georgie boy:) One last thing Georgie is 6 and still has what his Daddy and I call "accidents." They can be little boogers but the love and happiness they bring I assure you is amazing! |
he is a cutie, try feeding him a few pieces of pineapple a day.. and buy a breath spray, I like petzlife, I use it with my pack, the pineapple will deter him from eating his poo and the mouth spray will refresh his bad breath and kill the bacteria from eating his poo..LOL good luck.. hugs, |
Aw sorry for the ringworm. My Daughter had it and shes had to put cream on it for 3 weeks now 3 times a day and its still there even though most of it is gone |
wow thats a lot all at once...sorry lets just hope it gets better from here!! |
Oh, but he's just so cute! |
awwww your baby is adorable!!!! I know it's hard right now.... ring worm is very contagious. My brothers used to wrestle in HS and always seemed to have it. Did the vet give you any suggestions to help your baby stop eating his poop? There are tons of threads here with ideas and suggestions to stop that behavior. It's gross, unsanitary and unhealthy for all of you. I'm sure you want it to stop. This will take training. Also try feeding him some pineapple, apparently they don't like the taste of their own feces when they ate pineapple. Good Luck!!!! He is sooo adorable though!!! :) |
I regret what you're going through. I agree - Olly is adorable! Look at that sweet face. |
What a cutie pie. He should eventually learn by your consistency, not to eat poop and make less or no mistakes in the house. It took us a good 4 months before Bailey was acclimated to going outside. On rare occasion does he use a potty pad. We have his walked planned and he knows to go then. In betwee the walks, he can go out in the patio to "potty". Routine will help. |
AWWW! No way you or anyone could be upset with that face. Just take it in stride, it's all part of being a dog owner. |
Poor boy... I'm sure it will be over before you know it. I love that you blurred his photo :p LOL |
Just look at that face, its like he is say what me? No way mom check your own breath lol. |
I'm sorry you have been facing these challenges. I have to say Olly is absolutely adorable!! Wishing you brighter days ahead. |
