Puppy Trouble! Help! I forgot how much work a puppy is!!!! I’m trying to keep Lili in her cage area at night b/c I don’t want her wondering around by herself. But when I put her in the crate she cry’s and wants to be held. I know I need to be strong and soon she will get used to it but I can’t help but wonder if I’m doing the right thing? On top of all that, Bailey is still not welcoming Lili…and Lili tries to follow him around but he runs away…I’m trying to get used to all the changes and I want everyone to be happy together. Desperately seeking advise. |
Be strong! Lily will be OK in her crate. She may not like it, but eventually she will learn to love it. There is a lot of info on here, and if you do a search on "crate", you will get a boatload of help. Lots of folks here also use xpens with their crates to give their babies a bit more room. Or they put their crates in the bathroom or a similar small space. Wosie sleeps in her crate at night, and she has less accidents. She is always really happy to get out of it, though! Good luck! With persistance and encouragement, you will both get through this! |
Do a search for 'crate training' and I'm sure you'll find all kinds of great advice. Good luck! |
TOO LATE!!! my husband went and got her out of the crate!!! This is why none of our dogs are trained. *smiling* I will have to do this when my husband isn't home. |
