I bought some pineapple yesterday so we'll give it a try today!! Lucy is somewhere between 8 and 10 years old and I have a feeling she's probably been eating poop most of her life. We don't know where she came from but most likely a mill. I hope we can get her to stop! Poor girl doesn't know she's doing anything wrong. They're kind of the same color as kibble lol! |

If your dog is eating poop for other reasons, the pineapple won't work, contrary to popular opinion, pineapple doesn't make the poop taste bad, it just has less undigested protein in it, so it no longer smells nourishing to the dog. Some dogs eat poop from boredom, some dogs eat it because that's the way the "diaper" their puppies, some dogs eat it because they want to get rid of the evidence, and several other reasons that I can’t remember. :p |
1 Attachment(s) Here are the faces of two cat poop eaters.....:D |
1 Attachment(s) I just started a thread about this this afternoon! lol. Im actually pretty releived that Im not all alone here..I had no idea it was so increibly common for a dog to do this.My yorkies are both *almost* 2 months old (they´re sibblings) and they both eat each others (and their own) poop.I´m used to waking up to smudges and stains where they have played with the poop first and then eaten it,but a few times I´ve actually caught them trying to get it "straight from the tap" lol. It´s SO gross and I have been beside myself with worry because I had no idea that it was "normal".... Eww!!! lol http://www.sherv.net/cm/emo/dancing/dancing-poop.gif |
