Officially the Queen Guess what ? Call me crazy or Gabby has me wrapped around her paw. I took my bed frame apart and put our mattress on the floor for our Gabby. Now she can come an go as she pleases.Gabby will never accidentally fall off our bed now. |
Omg that is so sweet ahah! Did you ever try dog stairs for her? |
We did try a smaller stepladder and she did not use it at all. The ladder did not fit the greatest though. One time she did jumped off our bed and she was fine but never jumped again off our bed.I just like the idea of her being safe and able to come and go whenever she wants (: |
Ok you're crazy;) Just kidding I think it's great! Georgie is finally starting to get used to his new steps it takes a toy at the top for him to attempt them LOL. He never jumps he has had major surgery so he is very cautious which I am so glad about. Gabby is one lucky girl:thumbup: |

They are accepting new members into the spoiled rotten club. I think Gabby would fit in rather nicely. |
My bed used to be very high as I have one of those extra tall mattress sets. The second week I had Gracie she was sitting on the bed wrestling with a kitten and the kitten did a power move on her and she went flying off the bed. She hurt her rear leg and I had to take her to the vet. Nothing was broken but she limped for a week. I got rid of the bed frame also. As soon as she got big enough I purchased some steps so she could get up and down off the bed herself because she was still not big enough to get up and down herself. She still can't get up and down herself without the steps and she will be two next month. |
lol, okay you are nuts. :D But then again, you're in good company.:p Gabby is one lucky girl. |

Me nuts....not at all.Just crazy in love with my Gabby (: |
You're not alone....I am currently sitting on my bed...which is a mattress on the floor. I never really liked my bed frame and all it was was a stand (ie no headboard or anything fancy), so it wasn't a big loss for me....but when Somi was diagnosed with LP all the high things went away that couldn't be blocked off. She is a BIG jumper so she would dive off the bed and not use the steps if she felt like it (usually when she was too excited). So now we sleep on the floor. :) I have a platform bed with drawers picked out that I am going to rig to be steps all the way around. [Pull out the drawers enough and put a piece of wood to make it a cabinet type thing with lid instead of drawer, and then the platform then the mattress] So with the steps all the way around she will be much less likely to try to jump all the way off. Once she is all the way healed and my wallet is all the way healed from her surgery we will be getting that bed or something similar. I LOVE this forum in that I am not alone in my crazy yorkie-ness! :) |
