New to yorkie talk...
 

Hello my name is Kaleb, and my Yorkies name is Zoey:animal36 she is the best dog ever and she's only 17 weeks old... She is so sweet, and she loves to play, and I feel like we were made for each other... Everyday she does something new that makes me smile and love her even more... I am typing this on my iPhone and can't put up pics, but I'll be posting plenty of pics of my baby soon... Zoey is actually my 2nd yorkie... Bentley was the first, my wife got him at 8 weeks old, and it didn't take me long to fall in love, and relize that yorkies are the perfect dogs for me... As a kid I always had big dogs and never really liked little dogs; then when Bentley came along he quickly changed my mind, and at some point I relized Yorkies were the best dogs for me, and any other dogs just wouldn't do... I could never even imagine losing Bentley, but unfortunately my wife got custody of him when we got divorced :-( He is in good hands with her, but I did a lot of extra things for him, to make sure he was happy... I do miss him a lot and his personality, I even talked for him, because he always looked like he had something to say lol... I thought about getting a dog for about 6 months after we split up, and I looked at a lot of yorkies, but none felt right and I was worried no dog could ever replace Bentley... Then I found Zoey and completely fell in love, she was the runt of the litter and was so sweet, and her colors were beautiful... The first month was really hard, trying to house train her, vet visits, food allergies, biting, and all of the other things that go along with puppies... Now she is really getting adjusted, and I love her so much... She is a lot like Bentley, but she is also very different... Her personality is awesome and I couldn't ask for a better puppy... I made the desision when I got her I didn't want her to be by herself, so when I go to work she's with grandma and grandpa, so she gets a lot of attention... I don't know if all of the attention is part of the reason she's so smart, but she is so intelligent, it suprises me sometimes... I also put her in her crate for a few hours every couple of days just so she will be used to it... She does really well with it, and doesn't seem to bother her at all... Anyways I'm excited about yorkie talk, because about 75% of my online searches are yorkie related lol... I can't wait to tell the world about zoey, and read about everyone else's yorkies... And I'll have a place to get all my yorkie related questions answered... I LOVE MY YORKIE!!!

Welcome to YT and congratulations on your new little yorkie girl. She sounds precious and I think we can all understand why you are so crazy about her, because we all feel the same way, too.:D

Hi and welcome to YT. Zoey sounds like one special little girl. :) She's obviously got her daddy wrapped around her little paws already. So sorry about Bentley and you are right, he can never replaced but I am so glad that Zoey was able to heal your heart. Can't wait to see pictures. :)

Finally got home from work, and tried to post some pics of Zoey but they all exceed the max kb, so I'll have to try again tomorrow... There are some really great posts on this site, from some wonderful people, with wonderful dogs... I am glad to be a part of the yorkie talk community :)

i would also like to welcome you to yorkie talk! and congratulations on your new little baby girl! i also have a yorkie named zowi, so i just love the name you picked for her. my zowi just turned 11! for my girl, it's very fitting and i'm sure that's the case with yours too! sorry to hear about bentley, but i'm glad that your ex-wife did keep him and sounds like he will be just fine with her. it's so sad when couples seperate and neither one takes the pet. :(

Welcome!!!:) This is a great site for you to get your fill of these lovable, little dogs. My DH and I have a maltese and a shorkie, Bella. He loves Bella's little size (Barney is a super maltese-15lbs) and wants a yorkie to name Rocky. After a hard day of work or just life troubles, these guys make you smile.
