Got rid of the rugs and have been cleaning and dusting as well. I have been trimming my dogs rather short as well.
She is 13 yo and loves the dogs so much!! | That would be what any allergist would say. I am allergic to dogs, there are 5 in my house. Until Feb there were 6,our big guy that shed really bad passed away. I take my allergy meds every morning, sometimes benadryl at night. I also have asthma. Mine are bathed almost every week,Im the one that does it. I do not understand how someone can be allergic to a dog that has hair and not fur,no undercoat,,,,, unless you are allergic to people. The yorkey doesnt bother me,she sleeps on my pillow with me. The poodles dont bother me as long as I bathe them regularly, The chi sheds and it does bother me,he is not allowed on my bed. The pom,I am very allergic to,dont touch my eyes after I touch her. Wash my face and hands if I have to brush her. She is my mother's dog that lives with me so I can take her to see my mother in the nursing home.
I own a carpet cleaner and the carpets/rugs get done every six months, unless it is something small that will fit in the washer, then it is every month. Most of the house is tile or wood. I also use my carpet cleaner attachments to clean the furniture that isnt leather. There is a blanket on my favorite chair, because the dogs sit with me every evening and it gets washed every week. Its alot of work, but this is what it takes for my furbabies to live here and sometimes I like them more than the people that live here. |
