Hair in eyes need help My baby has a short haircut & has the hair from her mustache sticking in her eyes. I tryed Vasoline but it looks kinda wet. The vet says not to get product in her eyes. I've been letting her hair grow out but it's been at least 6 months & not getting any longer. Got any ideas. Thanks guys you're the best. |

i don't think there is too much you can do at this point but wait for it to grow out. i tried the vaseline too and it was not much help . it will grow out , just takes awhile for the facial hair.. |
Petsilk topnot gel |
^^ i agree. dont use too much, just enough.. other than that your unfortunately just going to have to be patient.. went through that, but it does grow out..... eventually |

:eyebrow2:...just curious... what is the harm in shaving that little semi circle area above the snout every 2 months or so? My groomer insists that we trim that area up so that it stays nice and clean from eye boogers and his vision isn't impared. He equated it to walking around with a fan in front of your face all day every day if i were to leave it. and Brews face is REALLY easy to keep clean this way. warm cloth 2 times a week and he looks like a little prince:D  it seems like SUCH a hassle to have it bugging the pup and the owner for a year (or more) i've always wondered... |

I also made the mistake of cutting the hair above Joels eyes and made it worse. His hair goes in his eyes from ALL angles, lol. So need to get something for his hair. |
i really am starting to thinking Brew might be a red legged Yorkie. his hair grows soooo slowly. he was groomed last Jan 28th and it's just started to grow out from the snout. like 1/100 of an inch! i guess i'll count my blessings then! if it was weekly, that would be a different story. |

 cancel that! he was in on March 10. i was thinking gees that has really been a long time with no growth. i didn't have it in my planner...but no missing the charge on the bank statement ;) |

I've been growing Ralphies nose/forehead hair for about 4 months and it's about an inch long. I use two bands and put the first band around these short hairs. Attachment 366982 The a second band higher up. Attachment 366983 Before it could go in the band, I used Petsilk, and still use it if some slip out of the band. |
oh my word!!!!!! Ralphie is sooooo SUPER cute! :p the band in just suits him perfectly!! my husband won't allow Brewie to have a top knot either, so we are stuck with shaving. i will always leave it to the professionals though!!! i was really lucky to find my groomer he's really tallented. you guys will get a kick out of his business name. it's The Dogfather!! |

Ralphie thanks you for the compliment, but in our house it's not called a topknot, it's called a ninja knot! :D |
For the first year I trimmed Taycie's hair around her eyes. She always had runny eyes.. I have seen so many pictures and wanted to grow out Taycie's hair around her eyes because I love the look, but then I would get scissor happy and end up cutting it! 2 weeks before Thanksgiving I decide to really give it a go and hide my scissors... It was hard.. mainly because of the holiday approaching and she hit the really awkward annoying stage right around Christmas.. But, I didn't give in. Here we are in April and I AM SO GLAD I DID IT!!!!!! It takes forever, I feel like but in the scheme of things it really is not that long.. ( I kept having to remind myself)....... She hardly has drainage at all... I mean nothing... I love it!!!!!! I am so glad I didn't give in to my scissors! For stray hairs I ended up using her conditioner, a small dab on my pinkie, to help the hairs lay down. I tried the Topnot gel and other things, but being that Taycie is so sensitive it didn't really work for us. Her face would get really irritated. Good luck! I hope you find something that helps! |
