Am I crazy? Lol Well I have already begun planning Katie Scarlett's first birthday party. I've got a theme picked out...think pink zebra print. I've started looking at party ideas online and bookmarking them to my iPhone. I am looking for a dog bakery or a recipe I can make for her on my own for a little cupcake. I've picked out a fancy cake to make myself or have made for the human guests. I've picked out party favors and began designing a few of my own to make since I scrapbook. I think we will have her party at our house but outside. We are looking at buying one of those fabric gazebo's like you see at lowes. I thought she'd like a outdoor party. Anyone near PA who'd like to come and bring your fur babies? Tee hee! Now for the crazy part...her first birthday isn't until July 10th! first off you are not crazy, secondly you can never start planning to far in advance. I was bummed out from the day I picked up Lola because her birthday is Dec. 26, which is the worse day IMO to have a birthday party. Then I was going to do it on her Gottcha Day and that fell on Easter:( I had birthday parties for two of my dogs, I had napkins printed for my female saying Murphy's first birthday. We played kids games and I had prizes made, tee shirts and mugs that said Murphy's first we were there, in kid's crayon like print. You will have a blast not only having it but planning it. For some inspiration find the thread on the picture section from Lilo's mom, she just went to a birthday party that was over the top. Can't wait to hear more about your plans. |
Aweee, I think you're head over heals for your furbaby and there's nothing wrong with that AT ALL!! I think she'll love having a day all about her :-) |

Not Crazy at all! I just Planned and Celebrated Taycie's 2nd Birthday.. And my grandma hosted this year.. to change it up some:) We had balloons, decorations, pizza, sparkling cider, chocolate triffle, and of course the birthday girl was spoiled rotten! I love having birthday parties for her! |

You are NOT crazy!!! CoCo doesn't turn 1 until November 19th and her "aunt" and I have been planning a party for "the twins" since the day we got them!!!! We're even gonna have them on our Christmas cards this year!!! Girl, go for it and make it fabulous. LOL My boyfriend thinks my BFF and I are nuts, but he's helping too! |

Shes going to love it.... what pup wouldn't. I'm sure that you will make her an awesome dress for the special occasion. Idea: What about making zebra photo frames for all of the doggy guest to put a picture of them taken in front of a theamed backround? |

You are far from crazy hahaha...:) you must meet the women in our group. All of them plan over the top party's and it's just so much fun for everyone! It is after all their first and only party you may throw them. :) we're having a biker party in may that's super fancy,,, and a beach party in June... And I still haven't figured out if I'm throwing one for Lilo yet in July XD from all your posts I can already tell your as a crafty as the women I know so I know your party will be great fun! |

You are not crazy we always give Kirby birthday parties. Her crate is still decorated from her last one on March 31st. Khloe wil have parties too. |
Aw I was thinking the same thing! Peanuts bday is in May, the only problem is he is a loner and only has about 5 doggy friends sooooo it wouldn't be that big of a party :( I am still deciding if I want to do it this year.. |

Well I would just love to meet some of you fellow yt'ers and your pups. KS doesn't have any buddies. She met a few at dog friends at training class but we haven't seen them since. I'd love regular play dates! Or for you to come to her party. If I could get enough interested I'd rent a space somewhere at a good park that is dog friendly! I may have to start a thread and see if it generates interest. |
Not crazy at all. Actually we would be delighted to be guests at KS 1st birthday bash. Unfortunately we're nowhere near PA. I'm sure it will be fabulous :D As for planning ahead, that sound quite normal to me and this is coming from a person who is planning her own wedding in the pre-engagement stage :eek: Do take plenty photos to share, I'm sure a smilebox will be in order since KS is such a darling little girl :love07: |
