Sad news Last night i recieved sad news for cocoa and her sister millie ( millies mama). Their beautiful mama sweet pea was accidentally let out by a guest while her owner was at work friday night. She darted in front of a four wheeler and died. Her owner has had sweet pea since birth and sweet peas mom since she was a puppy. She is devastated and my heart is broke for her so if you can please remember sweet peas owner pam and sweet peas mom chantel in your prayers. She was very nice and helpful when i adopted cocoa and i could see how much she truly cares for her puppies. Cocoa and millies dad lives next door to sweet pea. |
I will say a prayer for swaet peas mom (Pam) tonight. What a tragic thing to happen. I am so sorry to hear that. |
Oh, I'm sorry to hear such terrible news. At least it sounds like she maybe didn't suffer and that's the only comfort her owners can take from this tragedy but it is something. I'm so sorry for all that loved and will miss her. |
Oh I am so sorry! I can totally relate. I lost my 'heartbeat' Yorkie-Poo and my Doodle the same way. It is a horrible feeling and so devastating! My heart goes out to her. :big_hug::hands: |
I will keep Pam in my prayers. |
I am so sorry to hear that. I will say prayers for Pam tonight. |
I feel so awful for Sweet Pea and her momma...it is such a heart wrenching, gut turning thing to loose one of these precious little souls, especially in events like this. Seems I have been reading of several babies that run out an open door, and either become lost or are killed. I want to just share a little idea/tip....nothing will bring back the babies already gone, but maybe it will keep another baby from meeting this same fate. While it is not "glamorous" and certainly wont make "House Beautiful", it ceretainly gives me peace of mind. Through the extensive use of baby gates throughout my house, my dogs are kept isolated away from any doors, especially the front door.....they are kept in my sun room, and should they get thru the baby gate separating the sun room from the Great room, they would have to get through another gate between the Great Room, leading into the foyer....I have a horror of a visitor or guest or service person, going out the front door and leaving it open, and one or my babies darting right out into the street. I also crate all my dogs when service people or young children come to the house....These solutions work for me...wont work for everyone for any number of reasons, but it certainly gives me peace of mind. My prayers go out to Sweet Pea's grieving family. |
My thoughts are with you. |

so sorry to hear about that |
This is just sad. Prayers for all involved. I to use use baby gates and wouldn't have it any other way. I know for a fact that mine can't get out at all. |
