Puppy sleeping arrangement I have two yorkie girls both 13 weeks old. Molly is very energetic and playful. Lilly is quieter and would sleep more if her sister would let her. They have both been sleeping together in a crate at night. In the morning Molly starts howling anytime from 6am. Lilly is obviously disturbed by her duster and is still sleepy. Am considering separating them at night in the hope Lilly will sleep on without her sisters wake up call. Has anyone else had similar problems. Am concerned that they may not settle without the other to cuddle |
I think you should get them separate crates. They need to learn to settle without the other one anyway. Separating them will make them more likely to focus on you and not each other. It's important for them both to bond with you. |
I don't have any experience with 2 puppies at the same time but trying separate crates may help. Also, Molly may settle down eventually. |
I dont have any personal experience with this, but I agree try getting separate crates! (: |
I guess you could try to separating them if you feel the quiet one is really being upset by her sister. It's natural for dogs to cuddle together so they may not like it much at first. If the early riser is crying to get up her sister is going to be woken up anyway. I'd want them on the same potty and eating schedules so I don't think separating them would be that great of an advantage since they would be in cages anyway. It's just one more cage to clean. |
