This is what I love about selling puppies... I just got this as a part of an email today.....I LOVE hearing from people who have bought puppies from me. I love getting letters in the mail with their pictures and telling me how the pups are "The Light of My Life". It just warms me and brings tears to my eyes. This email is from a wonderful woman who bought a little male and named him Snickers..... Hi Julie.......here`s the most recent pictures of my youngest "child-a very hairy one". How are things at your home? We are busy getting ready for the Holidays. Snickers is such an intelligent dog & that`s why I call him our child. If you tell him to go get his blankey then off he goes looking for it he knows so many commands & loves to please you. He is so very ,very protective of everyone & we have to be careful when we play loud with anyone because he thinks we are hurting them. The email goes on, but you get the point. I also received pictures recently of Tiah's first grandpuppies. Now that was very touching, let me tell you! She sends me updated pictures every week and I truly appreciate it. |
That is Very nice and sweet for them to keep you posted. When I got Bailey, I emailed the people I got him from, and filled them in and told them his name and how he was doing, and what he was doing... BUT, they never responded,,, so I dont know if REPLY didn't work on their email  , or they didn't want to keep in touch,, so I didn't pressure them. Or they might have liked the update, but didn't feel a need to respond?? Who knows.. I thought, like you, it would be nice, and they would want to know. |
AWWWHHH Thats so sweet !!! it must be nice to know all that hard work you do does not go un-noticed !! Congrats on being a Good yorkie breeder !! :D |
Yeah, I know what you mean! I have been trying to contact the woman I bought Cowboy from and she won't respond either. I just wanted to tell her that I couldn't love him any more if I tried. I wanted to send her pictures and show her what a perfect boy he is. I wanted to tell her that he is the sweetest little thing anyone could ever want.....well, you get my drift. However, the email address didn't work and she won't take my calls. |
That is just the best part isn't it? Makes all the hassles worthwhile. |
Awww....that is so nice. I hope that all of the future parents for our pups do the same for me. I am so sad that they will be leaving very soon. I will miss them so much! I just keep telling myself...you'll get to dog sit some of them and you can keep one out of the next/last litter... ;) |
Oh boy Bamafan, if this is your first litter, watch out. I get so emotional when my little puppies go.....it is downright embarrassing sometimes. I wish you the best and hope all your puppies find awsome forever homes :) The time just flys! Get pictures while you can! |
I know Julz, that is what I am afraid of! But I know they are all going to good homes...if I didn't think they were, I would be keeping them all myself! |
I emailed Tucker's breeder recently - just to say Thank you for such a wonderful dog. She said she had tears in her eyes when she read the email - she said sometimes it is a thankless jobs, and then she gets an email like mine and it makes it all worth while. We got all mushy - it was pretty funny! |
That is sooo awesome that they still keep in touch with you! I would love it to if I were selling puppies! I hope when I go to pick up my new little girl that the woman we are buying her from has an email! I would love to keep in touch! |
That's so nice. It must really make it all worthwhile. My breeder and I have kept in touch monthly. She gets pictures and loves it. They're such nice people! I could never have asked for sweeter people, either. They enjoy the pictures and I tell them everything we've been doing. It's become a fun thing to do. :D She was sad when I took her baby to our home, but she knew she would be spoiled rotten and I have made sure that we didn't let her down in that department! :p |
How sweet! I love getting e-mails like that, too! :p |

Chelsey and Chanel come from different breeders, i keep in touch with both of them, one by phone because thats what she prefers, i also send her pics by post, Chanel's breeder gets stories and pics by e-mail. I will never forget how upset and in tears Chelsey's breeder was the day she was ready to come home with us, i couldnt help but cry with her, tho i was SO thrilled to bring her home, i could feel her sadness, she kept telling Chelsey " be a good little girl " so my husband told her, shes got good new parents now and asked her to visit and phone us anytime she wants. I felt so bad for her, we often speak over the phone and she told me im the only person that keeps in contact with her out of all the people that adopted a puppy out of that litter, i often sit and wonder how the little sisters and brother are doing. It very normal to us to keep the breeders updated on how they doing, after all its thanks to them that we have our precious girls! |
That's so great!! I too keep in touch with Piper's breeder. I send pics from time to time and try to visit when I can although it's been months. Her and her hubby even babysat him when I had to go away for a weekend and couldn't take him along. I consider them his Godparents because I know they'd always take care of him if something happened. I hope to get my little girl from her somethime in the near future too. I feel like her and her hubby and all their furbabies are an extended part of the family and through Piper they really are :D |
