I'm so sorry to hear that she hasn't been found. Don't ever give up hope (I'm sure you haven't and will never). I saw on Yahoo yesterday where a dog was missing for 22 months and was returned to its owner. There are other stories just like this where owners and pets are reunited after being apart for a while. Maybe one day you will see your baby out and around on the street for a walk or in a park with someone and you can get her back. I will continue to pray that your precious one will be found.

Good morning!! Is the doggie microchipped? Because if someone does have her they are not going to get very far if they try to take her to the vet etc. This is so sad I know. Is it possible to get to your local TV station about this as you would do for a lost child?

Vets do not check peoples dogs for microchips unless some one brings in the dog as lost . So if some one does have her dog and brings it to a vet as their pet no check will be done. Has any one ever used a pet psychic ??? The answers they give seem very vague. I just hope they are just telling you stuff to keep getting your money. I would keep looking putting posters up put ads up on craigslist in the paper ect. Just keep trying .

It probably varies from vet to vet, but my vet DOES check pets for a microchip on their first visit to the office. They do it to make sure that the pet really belongs to the person bringing it in.

I have to say that I agree about the pet psychics, they prey on your emotions and cash in:(

I'm so sorry you have not found your baby yet. I don't know much about psychics but it seems they have only given you very vague info that has not been helpful at all. Maybe your money would be better spent on some professionally produced posters with her picture on it that you can put in plain sight in every neighborhood with a reward offered of course. With the economy being as it is there may very well be some people out there with time on their hands that would spend time looking for your dog. Many times young people have no problem pounding the pavement in their neighborhoods knocking on doors and asking questions. A reward can be quite a motivation even for a dog thief to give up the dog they have found.

My vet scans for micro chips also. I asked once and she said thst they would definitely scan if someone came in with a dog and no papers or prior vetting records.

I hope more vets scan than not.

Still saying prayers for a safe return.

Am I wrong to get another puppy? I have so much guilt. It has been 2 months and we still haven't found Bailey. My sister is pushing me to get another yorkie but I feel so guilty.

You have done so much to try to find Bailey you shouldn't feel any guilt by getting another puppy. Do what you feel is right for you. I am sorry you never found Bailey. I have been following your thread and praying you could find her.

I don't think it would be wrong to get another furkid. It could help ease the pain just a tiny bit. Best case scenario, you DO find Bailey and then there's a playmate waiting at home. Still praying that you find Bailey:hands:

You should not feel guilty about getting another puppy if you want one. You need to do what feels good for you though, not just because someone else says you should or shouldn't. I have a feeling you want a puppy and if so you should go for it. If by some small chance you ever find Bailey, you will have 2 babies. That's ok too! I wish you could have found her, but you don't deserve to miss out on the love of a yorkie. Let us know what you end up doing. Best of luck to you!

Bless your heart sweetie. I am so sorry you haven't been able to find your furbaby. :(:( I hate it for you. A new puppy will not replace Bailey. You will always have a special place in your heart for Bailey. But getting another puppy might help to ease the pain. As Yorkies are such loving things. I don't think there is anything wrong with getting another one. And if Bailey is found, you will have two precious Yorkies!!!

That is so horrible that someone found your baby and is holding on to her! Too many people don\'t stop to think of the heartache and sorrows they bring on a family when a beloved pet is found and not returned.

My heart breaks for you and I\'m sending prayers and positive thoughts that your baby WILL make her way back to you.
