How can i brush our Yorkie"s teeth, when she snarls at us? We are having trouble brushing our Yorkie"s teeth. When we try she snarls at us . |
Since Sheldon loves to chew on things, I get the brush wet and let him chew on it while I wiggle it, he loves it this way. If I try to brush his teeth deliberately he would not let me. Have to make him think is a toy. Good luck! |

Ummm! Corky Might think something afoot I I did that, But I am going try it.. Right now the lady down the street brushes his teeth. |
I started by using my finger and rubbing the toothpaste on Trixie's teeth...she like the taste so much she would run into the bathroom and bark at the drawer the toothpaste was in. We slowly introduced the toothbrush...it's not her favorite thing to have done, but she is very tolerant of it now. |
Snarling? I would say that maybe she's showing her teeth to make it easier to brush. LOL Just a thought. I let Bella eat the toothpaste off my finget then I would rub her teeth with my finger. After awhile I was able to use the toothbrush with paste. You'll get there. |
Very carefully !! :D |
They do sell gels that clean the teeth with enzymes. They also make a form of it that can be put into the water. Brushing with an enzyme toothpaste is the best method but if your dog really is fighting you on this I would try one of the other methods. |
Out of the five in my pack, Molly is my fighter when it comes to having her teeth brushed. It actually takes two of us to do it. The rest of them are really good at it. |
