What a beautiful person you are to have rescued the lil angel! I am sure before you know it, they will all be inseperable. My Misty didn't take too kindly when lil came along -wouldn't even want to be in the same room let alone same sofa... Many weeks later they are best friends and completely looking out for each other 😊 |
Congratulations. I am so happy you took her:) |

Jazzie is a cute name. Did you rename her or is that her original name? |
She's so adorable! I'm glad you got her!! Give it time, and I bet your three will be like the 3 musketeers! They just are adjusting now! |

I just found your thread! Jazzie does look like a little angel. She is a very lucky little girl to be with you. :) I told you Max was jealous when we brought Teddy home. The best remedy for us was to do things that Max loves to do, and then include Teddy. We went for extra walks and the boys had chews together. Some things were fixed in days, others took a week, or a little more. The last hurdle was Max allowing Teddy to sleep in my bed. That took a couple of months. Put Josie first for everything -- greet her first and often, put her food down first, groom her first, everything first. Give her extra affection. This will reassure her. Then let the dogs work things out between themselves and step in only if it looks dangerous --- or if you see something you don't like, redirect attention. When my boys were going to go at it, I would say, "Do you want to do tricks?" They know that means they get a kibble for each trick performed. Sending best wishes to your J-pack! |
i have been following this thread and keeping my fingers crossed that you would save her.... i'm so so happy that you did! |
I am so excited for you with your new addition and I love the name! I always thought Jack and Josie were such cute names and now you've got a Jazzie! I think your others will come around. When I got Libby, Maddie was so ticked at me and wouldn't even look at me for a day or two. Then, just like that, she accepted Libby and they've gotten along fine ever since. When I got Faith, I thought Maddie would be the one with attitude, but it turned out that Libby was the one that was so upset. She wouldn't let Faith come near her and she just sat at a distance and glared at Faith. I think it was the second day...that evening, Faith was on the floor playing and Libby was on the couch. All of a sudden, Libby jumped down and started playing with Faith, and they've been pals ever since. I hope and pray that's how it goes for you! Congrats! Keep us updated! Jazzie is adorable! |
I have been following your thread and am happy Jazzie is with you. I am sure it will take a little time to adjust...you, too. They will pick up on your stresses, so try to 'feel' what you want them to 'sense' as well. Even with babies I have had for 14 years, there are occasional skirmishes and I always love both of them up, 'make' them 'apologize' to each other, etc. lol Seems crazy, I know, especially with the kitties, but you can watch their body language change when they realize Mommy really does love them both and won't stand for anyone...not even them, her baby..."hurting her [other] baby"...lol I tell them that in my house, they must be polite, and cannot be mean. lol I will keep watching to see how it is going for you. So happy you've given Jazzie a new, loving fur-ever home. :D |
