Dry skin???? Does anyone have any suggestions on my babies dry skin. She has bad dryskin. She's clear in all her test so we know it's not ring worm or anything it's just dry skin. She's only 12 weeks so it has to be a puppy wash that i would have to use. I don't give her too many baths so I know it's not from that. So I'm just wondering if anyone know something I could use to help. You know they have head and shoulders for us....well is there anything for puppies? thank you crystal |
I started giving Cali this spray with Salmon oil and omega 6 and 3 and her skin isn't so dry and her coat is looking shinier. I got it at Petco |
Use a very mild shampoo and give some oil (Flaxseed or Canola) in the food. Also, humans' skin drys more if the air is very dry in the house (like from the heater). I assume it could do the same for a dog? |
Thanks! do you know if it's safe for puppies? if so I'll give it a try. Teh reason I'm asking is because I don't have a petco close to me and I'll have to order it over the internet. I don't want to get something I can't use |
Hmm...not sure about for puppies. You may want to ask your vet about that one. You can't get Flax oil at a pet store. You have to order it or get it from a health food store...it's for humans, but I know several that use it for their dogs. Plus, it is beneficial for other heath reasons...i.e. good eye health, cancer prevention, etc. One brand you may want to try is 'Barleans'...good luck! |
Shampoo It was recommend to me to use Oatmeal shampoo for dogs. I found it in Wal-Mart........ Good luck with your baby |
thanks thanks for all the ideas |
