When Kids attack!!! Today my daughter and I decided to take Millie to the park and try walking her around the walking track. When i saw this little girl and I knew she was coming straight for us. i picked millie up in my arms, the little girl who was probably 6 or 7 was litterally tryying to pull millie out of my arms, while I am saying " No honey she doesn't like that" I finally was so nervous and frustrated we left quickly. Does this ever happen to any of you when you are out, and what do you do? |
Just what you did. Glad she's safe. |
Sounds like the little girl should have been on a leash. You did the right thing. |
yup, happened to me and I did the same thing, plus locate her parents and give them a MAJOR stink eye for failing to control their kid. |
I always tell children, they should not touch dogs they do not know. Keep in mind Corky will just Stop, drop and roll on his back to get a tummy rub. (eye roll). Crazy dog... |
Exactly, and if one of our dogs bit one of these crazy kids it would be our fault!! I actually have two small children a 10 and 4 year old. i taught my kids from very early you NEVER put your hand out to pet a dog unless you ask first!! |
Before I knew it was going to happen, one time a little girl just suddenly walked up to Kacee and hugged her. Kacee doesn't bite, but she did snap a warning. It was a quiet warning, but kids don't realize that they are strangers to these little dogs and they don't like these sudden movements. Thank goodness Kacee didn't bite her! |
Good job for handling this really well. I've had a little boy run up to Gizmo, grab the leash in my hands and start shaking it violently back and forth. Kids are worse behaved than dogs many times. |
You did exactly the right thing. Does millie get under your feet as u are walking her? |
You did the right thing. Teddy doesn't like other people because both kids and adults would charge at him and try to scoop him up when he was younger. I can't blame him for being scared. A couple of little gradeschoolers threw water at my boys once and my doggies looked at me with the saddest faces as if they were saying, "Why did they do that?" :( |

Ralph it's really picky who he likes. He can sense if I don't like someone, which amazes me, but I kinda love that haha! But I do the same thing, any time I see a kid coming I scoop Ralph up. |
I always tell kids they bite so that they won't try to pick them up. Couver unfortunately will bite... So I always make sure to keep an eye out when we are out and see kids. |
