when you are sick Does your yorkie get depressed when your sick? My whole house has been sick first my Grandpa who gave it to my Grandma and now I am sick and I think its probably the flu its really just terrible and Callie seems so down and out and just wants to sleep and laze around on my feet and keep me in her sight always. I am not allowed to go to the bathroom by myself until I am better I guess lol. But I was just wondering does anyone else's yorkies get depressed and just fallow you and keep an eye on you all the time when you are sick? |
I wouldn't say that he gets depressed, but when someone is sick all he wants to do is snuggle with the ailing person until they feel better. He's very protective. |
I think they can sense things. that's why we love them so much! |
Corky, started acting strange about two weeks before my husband died. He would look at my husband, and run over to a spot on the sofa and lay down. The day he died, Corky sat by the bed looking at him for hours, Did not even move. Would not let the hospice nurse near my husband. While he was dying, I was yelling for my sister in law, Corky started barking, ran to the steps barked some more, till she woke up and came downstairs. Then he stopped. Sat there with his ear up waiting. I know this was not really the topic, But I wanted to share. |
I had the flu about a month ago and Georgie didn't leave my side in the bed all day. They are so sweet. Hope you feel better! |
Yes, I don't think so much depressed as being a never leaving side fixture. :) When I am in bed sick, both of my girls are right there with me until the end. It is like they know and want to stay by me to make me all better! :) |
aaw, I hope you are better soon and yes I do think they sense things and just want to stay close. They love so much and just want to please. |
Tibbe is just glued to me when I'm feeling ill. He takes every step I do if I leave the bed or couch or chair. He doesn't really act depressed just clingy. He senses I'm not right and feels the need somehow to stay attached to me. I have to move him to change positions or turn over. |
Same as what a lot have already said. If I stay in bed sick, he's right there by my side no matter how long it is. :) |
