That is so scary. We has some stalking our yard. they have been around for about a month. We no longer have squirrels or rabbits. They have path through our farm and on into town. We have to go outside with Mrs. Beasley. Coyote season ended March 1st. But I think killing one would fall under the predator (sp) clause. |
Clever boy! Trying to tell you all something wasn't right and that wild smell he was getting probably made him a little uncertain at first but next time, he got mad! LOL - I guess you can let your poor husband off the hook and quit following him around with a thermometer now that it's the coyote. I'll have to confess I was worried a bit about him after hearing all those stories of dogs sensing serious illness, etc. I saw on the news the other night that here in North Texas a lady found a bobcat in her front yard the other evening when she got home! The TV reporter said Animal Control thought it had something to do with the warm weather we have been having but can't recall why they thought that was driving him into a populated neighborhood. Anyway, the Frisco Animal Control would not try to catch it as it wasn't acting aggressively and just kind of moseying along, sitting around and so forth. It was very pretty but I would be scared to death if it had been anywhere near my property with Tibbe having to go outside to potty and exercise some and that bobcat still out roaming around. |
oh my goodness, this is just scary. I hope you have central air? Just thinking about screens and screen doors...Not that I have anything against coyotes, but so close to home? Please becareful of you and your pup. Perhaps theres some kind of deterrent you could use on the perimeter? Be safe. |

The people that use to live there lost a min pincher to a coyote. The dog was in the front, I think they were washing their cars- the coyote came out of the bushes and snatched him up! Then again they also left their dog alone in the backyard when they were at work too :thumbdown |
How scary! I can't believe it was IN your yard. Just be careful... Those guys aren't too scared to steal your baby with you standing right there... There was a lady at a park where DH's family is from that chased a coyote that grabbed her yorkie. She didn't get her baby back :( |
deonk1- Sounds like you guys have a lot of coyotes to deal with. Human attacks? navillusc- Peanut is a good boy- I just love him. yorkietalkjilly- I was worried for a second, I am glad I looked out the the window. Peanut has been acting normal with DH so thats good LOL. WOW a Bobcat! That is crazy!! lynzy420- Yes we have central air- we never really open the windows... DH is going to build a wall on the back hill side, so hopefully that will help.. They can roam all they want Peanut is never out there at night! |
