Puppy Tipping!! It seems Luma has discovered her love of tummy rubs...hehe!! She will come up to me, stare right in my eyes, and wait. I reach out to pet her..and she just falls right over! It's hilarious! I wanna get a video...she just falls right over onto her back and lays there looking at me like, "Well? I don't have all day!" It's sooo cute. Do y'alls puppies do this too? :) |
Oh, Lord, yes. Practically the moment I touch him he's over on his back, waiting for the tummy rub/scratch. |

Another thing is that she barked ALOT up until now...the past couple days she's finally stopped barking at anything and everything. She's such a good girl :D |
I saw your title and ROTFLMBO! My Sapphire did a side flip in mid air (on the bed) once to get her tummy rubbed. She's usually quite shy... I thought she was having a seizure.... |

:lol tears that is the best!!!! |
My Pebbles is exactly like that. We call her "belly girl". :p |
A farm girl knows what cow tipping is, and what Yorkie tipping is :D LMBO. Gracie does this digging hop like dance to get the quilt just right , goes around a few times and lays down with a deep sigh, then sticks her nose in my neck, that is 'my cue'to begin the tummy rub. She has me trained. |
LOL belly rubs are the best!!!!! I was rubbing Sophia's belly today... Brody comes up and purposely falls on his back on top of Sophia so he can get in on the belly rub!!!! Don't they realize I have two hands!!! |
Lol! Too cute |
Oh, yes! Mine does this at work all of the time and takes full advantage of it!:) |

Every time I see this post I think about cow tipping...:p |
Wow, I wish Gracie would do that. She is a different sort. She will not roll over for me to rub her belly ever! I always thought it was strange that she didn't want belly rubs but I notice that when ever anyone comes here to visit she rolls right over on her back for them to rub her belly! It really irks me. I guess this must have some sort of significance in the dog world but I'm not exactly sure of what it is. I know she is an alpha dog and we had a while there when she was a puppy when it was difficult to tell who was going to be more dominant. She wanted to run the show and it was difficult to convince her she was not the boss of everything. She is now a good little sweetheart of a dog but she still will not show me her belly. |

omg, this is tooo funny, and yes my Miss Mini does this too! Miss Mia just lays across my neck for her tummy rubs! thanks for the laugh! |
Haha, y'all have me cracking UP! And when I say puppy tipping..I mean you go to rub her belly, she falls over and onto her back, and her little legs are sticking STRAIGHT up in the air and you can see her eyes rolling into the back of her head, she's in heaven!!! lol! |
And Tibbe is such a little hedonist, when I am rubbing his tummy, his little jaw will begin to slacken and drop open as he relaxes out of pure pleasure. |

lol, Maggie isn't quite as bad but does this when she meets up with a new dog or new person. lol I have a friend who has a yorkie who does this all the time. I tell her that I cannot put her harness or leash on for our walks when she does this. lol |
Yes....now we have a name for it! LOL Yorkie tipping. Too funny. |

This is too funny... Maxie jumps up on the sofa beside me and then up ends, butt in the air, against my side... then flips clear over and waits for the belly rub to start. If it doesn't start, he backs off, digs in, and flips again. Once, I held off rubbing his belly to see how long he would keep it up... well, he can keep it up longer than I can. He did more flips than an Olympic gymnast! |
The visuals in my head, this really makes me smile!! |
All I have to do with Beemer is look at him from across the room and he flops on his back. We call it "peenee rubs". Probably not to politically correct.:D |

It amazes me how disarmed both my boys are when asking for belly rubs. I thought the natural instinct was to protect the underbelly. Both boys throw themselves down, belly up (Willy exposed); legs splayed, waving in anticipation of being rubbed. I do a chant (now I'm exposing just how goofy I am) "Chest; chest; chick-en leg; chick-en leg" as I rub their bellies. Hard to tell who enjoys it more. |
