...The look on their face when you give them a brand new chew, a type they've never had before. :D

I gave Harley a lamb ear today and he sat by it, smelled it, licked it, looked at me, jumped around a bit, licked it, looked at me, repeat... tried to pick it up, licked, look, repeat... he was soooo confused. About 15 minutes later I think the lightbulb turned on, and there was no way I was getting that from him. lol :D;)

Totally made my day.

I love the look when you are able to pull a chunk they swallowed out of their throat and they are able breathe again....

Sorry to post this but I feel everyone needs to be aware of the choking hazards of any chew product...

Oh, how true about the choking! Mine only gets to occas. chew lying in my lap, usually with me holding onto one end since I've been through the whole seconds from dying episode on a chew bone.

Wow pretty harsh I must say. I'm sure there was a nicer way you could have warned people about the choking hazard. Jeez!!

LOVEEEEE that look!!!! Until they get bored with it... then you hide it and bring it out weeks later... and you get to re-live it!!!

I always give Gracie a 12" bully stick. It's hysterically funny to see her carrying a stick that is bigger than she is off to be chewed on. She looks like she has just captured a huge prey to devour. Oh, and she has never been able to bite off even the tiniest bit of it to choke on.

My Jilly was only 3 lbs. and she bite off the end of a chewstick and nearly died from it. If I hadn't been able to breathe for her, she would never have made it as she just hadn't the strength to breathe anymore after a bit. I used to think she could never bite off anything big either but she chewed through a place and swallowed the big end. Just watch her closely the whole time and stay close enough to pull the chew if she bites through and forms a chunk. They will try to swallow what they bite off!

I don't think this was harsh at all, it's a harsh reality when your yorkie is choking and you're trying to save their life.

I understand the danger but there is no need to be so rude imo. There are much nicer ways to say things.

I don't know if you have ever used a regular sized bully stick but the thing that is so great about them is they are very hard but not brittle. All the dog can do is chew and chew and chew and chew and after a half an hour it might be a bit softer on about a half and inch of the end but they can't break it or swallow it. I have seen a full grown Lab chew the same size stick as I give Gracie and while he did soften a larger section he couldn't break any off. I'm not saying that anything is 100% safe but these are the safest chew I have ever seen and have no problem letting her have them. But I'm always near by even if I would rather not be because of the smell!

No, haven't tried those. Almost ordered them twice and then would get scared at the moment of website purchase and back out. Might try them as Tibbe won't chew Nylabones (going to try the kind Ladyjane suggested when I can get to the store) and he is in dog heaven when chewing a chewie of any kind. He loves to chew but is not obsessive with chewing as Jilly was. She would chew on chewies all day if allowed. Tibbe will chew for a while at times but gets bored after a while.

Mina loves her chews,but truthfully she only get REALLY excited when I ask her "ya wanna play?". Doesnt matter if I whisper it,she knows what I am saying and will dive into the toy basket to dig up the perfect toy for us to play with.

We just gave ours a couple of new type of chews and boy I got the same look. They sniffed it and weren't too sure but now it's anybody's game to get it away from them. lol
