Milo +1 Well we made it through the night without any problems. I got him up a couple of times to go wee but he went right back to sleep, I was surprised. I spent some time going over the information the breeder gave me plus the info I have gotten from you nice people and the pieces of the puzzle are fitting together. Thanks to everyone who offered advice. http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d25/bondai/milo5.jpg Here is Milo pulling on my camera strap... http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d25/bondai/milo6.jpg Here is Milo chewing on my foot.... http://i32.photobucket.com/albums/d25/bondai/milo7.jpg Rest time.. He is like a wind up toy that suddenly looses energy. He just plays and plays and then POOF! it's nap time. |
Aww, what a cutie :D |
He's very cute. They do just drop and fall soundly asleep when they've played really hard. It sounds like you're having lots of fun with him. I think he likes his new home.:) |
How sweet! I just love puppies! |
AWWW Milo is just a cutie. |
Milo is adorable !1 |
So cute. Glad to hear things are going well! |
He's settling in nicely! Glad he's finally home. |
Way cute. Milo has a great home. |
I absolutely love that shot with the camera strap...I saw a pic once in black and white with a yorkie pulling on a canon strap and it was so cute! Kinda obsessed with that pose...although Milo probably did it all on his own! He's so cute! Are you gonna tape his ears or do you prefer the look of them floppy?? |
Yippy for Milo:) So glad he is fitting in great! Congrats he's a cutie:D |

This is one way, if you want to avoid taping, which is miserable for some of them: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/gen...tml#post295488 Wini always said to not use too much glue and to go very lightly with it if you didn't want to find yourself holding the ears under water and washing them with soap and water to get it off. |

They can naturally decide to go up on their own, but lots of yorkies on YT keep the floppy look! I think it's cute. Sometimes they'll go up for a bit and fall back down (like when they start teething). There are lots of videos on youtube of it and I actually just posted some on another thread here.... |
Interesting, and this causes the dog no discomfort right? |

But yeah as long as you use masking tape or like medical tape it won't pull their hair out when you untape them. You can also try shaving the ear hair so the weight doesn't bring them down, and massaging the base of their ears could help exercise the muscles they need to strengthen to keep them up. |
Taping ears does feel funny to them at 1st but they get used to it. So glad all went well for his 1st night home. You are rite, they are like wind up toys, lol Forgot to say, the ears will go up & down as they go through teething too. |
What a sweet face!, welcome to YT :) |
You might want to give it some time and Milo might just raise his ears naturally. |
Milo looks almost identical to my little Morkie baby (9 weeks). Is Milo a pure bred Yorkie or a morkie too? Hes adorable! Cute pics! |
aaaw, Milo is adorable...congrats. |
Precious baby boy! Congratulations on your new arrival!!! |
I would try thinning the fur on the tips of his ears and giving him a little bit of plain yogurt every day or every other day. The added calcium will help give some strength to the cartilage in his ears. He is still young so they could go up on their own but at this point a little encouragement can't hurt. |

Milo is gorgeous!!! Enjoy! I have a Morkie and love her so much. She was taken from her home at 8 weeks (we did not know about all the crap until later) I got her at 10 weeks, we took her outside and she loved it from day 1. We gave her lots of attention and love...she has turned out to be a GREAT little puppy and we have so much fun! She is a rough and tumble little one....:) I have a close friend that is our Vet and she says all puppies should be as well adjusted as Bella. Milo is adorable and will definitely give you a little grief now and again...but don't they all!!! :D The LOVE makes it all worth it! |
