we made it
 

hey y'all. Checking in this morning to let you guys know we made it safe and sound to Alabama yesterday. We arrived at the airport 2 hours early, but still had to literally run to our gate. We stood in line at security checkpoint for what seemed like forever! Right when we got through, which by the way Katie Scarlett did fabulous and everyone had a fit over her, we heard them say over the intercom the last call for our flight. And wouldn't you know our gate was at the far end of the terminal! We had to run to make it but I had katie Scarlett held up by my chest so she wasn't bouncing up and down. I think she thought we were playing because when we stopped to hand them our tickets she was grinning so big! But we made it in the knick of time. Then as we were getting on the plane, everyone who could see in the carrier just ooohed and ahhed. It was hilarious. During flight she did fabulous. She barked one time but that was it. The stewardess let me take her out mid flight to give her water. We took pix of her looking out the plane window with my husbands phone. The flight was such a pleasant experience. I was so happy. Everyone loved her outfit I made. I took pictures of her before we left home and then we also got pix with the pilot as we were deboarding the plane. I'll share those ASAP. I'm using my moms iPad and can't put my sd card in it. It may be a day or two as we are busy busy, but I will share. I just wanted to let y'all know she did wonderful on her first flight. Mommy is so proud!

Your gate is ALWAYS at the opposite end of the terminal when you've just got time, regardless of whether you misjudged time or 'they' held you up in the terminal anywhere along the way...or at least, that always seems to happen to me! lol Come to think of it, my gate is always at the far end, then when I get there I find a sign that the gate was moved to just past where I was to begin with! Maybe it's just me...lol
