good job returning your neighbor's pup! i'm so glad this had a happy ending and he was safely returned before someone stole him or he got hurt! my neighbors 2 houses down got a male yorkie pup about a year ago named bailey. in the first few months she had him, i returned this dog 3 times from various parts of our neighborhood! each time i would lecture because they would leave him running loose without a tag. i told her the story of my father's girl minnie mouse being stolen several years back from his fenced yard and the story of how my zowi was hit by a pickup truck when she escaped out of our fenced in yard. (zowi didn't even have a scratch we were so lucky!) just before the weather got cold, she did install a fence in her back yard and she did get bailey a collar and tags and did explain that he is microchipped. i still always keep my eye out for bailey and i know she watches out for my girls too although they are NEVER outside unattended. |
Good Job Karen! I don't think I will ever even think about changing my phone number ~ tooo many important things attached to it that one might forget to correct info on. Like a microchip or tag  |
Yay, so glad that the owners were found, you did a wonderful thing. |
cute story.. I had something like that a few years past. My dh and I saw two chi running down the street. We tried to catch them and followed in our car. When they stoped we got out and caught them, a lady came out of the house and asked me what we were doing to her dogs? I guess she though we were trying to steal them!! I told her we followed them for two or three blocks, she said well.. they are home now!! No thank you or anything!! |

You're an angel for catching him . Sometimes, it soooo hard to catch a loose dog...so it feels so good when you can, and then reunite him w/ his fam. How cool that you know a neighbor, and they are clearly full of AWESOME since they have a yorkie. |
Karen, you have such a great heart! What a wonderful neighbor to make sure that little boy got home. Ann's right, that little boy had an angel looking out for him that day! :) |
That's so great that you got him home safely... What I don't get is how folks can just let their yorkies "out" without supervision... Mine are under my nose at all times... Precious cargo that I never want to lose!!! |
DAM! Karen, I would have kept him..lol You have a great heart. Nothing new to me. =) |
If I had to keep him after exhausting all resources for weeks I would have. But I can barely manage my 2 little beasts I don't see how I could handle 3:eek: |
I don't even know how I handle my 3. But then again, Chelsea is so behaved. =) |
What a great way to end a story! So glad you were able to "catch" him - even if it was in his own driveway! |
