Paw Pad Bleed Gizmo and I just got done with out nightly walkies, and I was going to rinse off his tootsies when I noticed his back left paw had a little bit of blood on the pad. And it made sense because I noticed he was picking up his left back paw when we were walking. So, out came the Epsom salts to get his tootsies soaked. Lets just pray this doesn't turn into a vet visit with another infected tootsie. Any other suggestions? He's not limping or anything. In fact the little brat is chasing around my swiffer duster trying to catch and attack it. |
That happenened to Brandi except it was both of her hind paws. I ended up taking her to the vet but didn't really need to. i actually could of saved the money but because it was both paws......better safe than sorry. Anyway the vet just give me some powder to rub on her little footsies. Than I figured out why her paws were slightly bleeding. I theorized that I had painters in the house and she probably was so excited that she stay on her hind legs all day while in her crate barking at them. Wish I would of thought of that before I went to the vet. |
Gwenni's just did the same thing a couple weeks back. I couldn't even locate where the blood was coming from. I know it was in between two pads, but I couldn't find a cut or anything. I just cleaned it really well and put some peroxide on it and it looked fine later that same day. I think the dry weather maybe made the area b/w her paws crack during the walk. I think as long as it cleans out well and has stopped bleeding a trip to the vet won't be needed. |
