BestBullysticks Not After reading about these treats, I purchased some through Amazon. I ordered orderless. Well these things stink so bad we had to take the stick away and I am sending these back. Is this unusual or do they normally stink like this? I am having the groomer tomorrow, going to try to get the stink off Dexter.. |
yes they stink...... |
I have the regular bully sticks for Prissy and I will just occasionally get a scent of them...not that bad at all.. |
I've yet to find a bully that doesn't stink to high heaven. They like them stinky, though:laugh: I don't give them anymore because they fight over them, but good luck finding REAL odorless. I think someone here sells them and have read good reviews. Hope someone comes along soon to help:) |
Once I found out what they were . . . uh no thanks. |
Lol :d......... |
No, the odor-free sticks from Bully Sticks - All Natural Value Dog Treats - Best Bully Stick I've gotten have always been stink-free (I mean, unless your nose is like RIGHT next to it while they are chewing, LOL). Maybe amazon shipped you their regulars? The regular ones stink real bad - we tried them once and I couldn't stand it. |
I order mine from a YT member (westbrook dog, AMD)..... I havent had any trouble with the smell....Now the ones I bought from Petsmart...PHEWWWWW!!!! I guess I get past the smell though cuz my crew enjoys them sooooo much!!!! |
Mine I have always gotten from bestbullysticks.com have not stunk. Maybe they sent you the wrong ones. |
Order them directly from bestbullysticks.com next time. I've never had any issues :) |
I get both the regular and the odor free bully sticks. Some of the regulars smell worse than others but you really have to be right next to it to notice. Gracie chews the regular ones on the floor. Our odor free bully sticks are not stinky. Don't know what they sent you. My last order did not arrive yet and Gracie does not have a bully stick. So far today she has tried to chew up two different books, a pen, and has ripped apart one of her stuffed toys. She never does this when she has a bully stick handy. She usually only gets the urge to chew once or twice a day when she has her sticks. Today she has spent most of the day looking for something to chew apart. |
Don't know what to do. Amazon did send them from the MFR BestBullyStickes.com NG-1NGA-31LB 6" Bully sticks select 30 pieces Odor Free Sealed. That was on the package. I could smell them before we opened the package. As Dex was chewing the end looked like white gooey substance. So As I said they re going back. We cuddle Dex and could not get near him. Had to wash his blanket too. |
I have some odor free ones that do smell. They don't make me want to puke the way the regular ones do. I could not let her lay next to me with the regular ones and would not let her on the furniture with it either. The odor free are not 100% odor free, but are much better. |
We are still waiting on our free sample to give them a try. I put in for one a few months ago, but I noticed they only give so many free samples a month. We might have to try again. |
We order our bully sticks from AMD (westbrookdog.com) and have never had any problems with odor. |
To me...ALL bullysticks smell. Bestbullysticks used to list on Ebay as "odor-free" and now the list them as "low-odor" and "regular", so maybe a few people complained that "odor-free" was misleading. I've bought the regular & the low-odor...they both smell, but the low-odor ones definately smell less. |
If you have a sensitive nose, you won't find an odorless bully stick. Inhave a very sensitice nose, and cannot have bullies in thr house. They stink and prnetrate the carpet and worse, Kaji's hair. I sometimes buy dehydrated tendons, like wishbones or Flossie's, but to be honest, they have a bit of a smell too. You have to be right next to them to smell it. (not as bad as bullies at all) I do only get them on occasion because I can't handle string smells. Not even perfume. |
Maybe you should try the Himalayan chews. I have never bought them but they are all natural and safe for dogs. I have noticed that some of the regular bully sticks smell worse than others but I have never had a package smell before opening. Maybe they sent out something that was bad. I usually order mine through ebay and have had no problems. Gracie has destroyed two more things today. A kid's stuffed animal and I found her chewing up a cardboard box. I don't know how much longer I have to wait for my order to arrive but I may have to go to the grocery store and pay almost $8.00 for one bully stick just to keep her from ingesting something that she could hurt herself with. |
