jasper has fleas When I took jasper to the vet for the first visit they found fleas on him and gave him a dose of frontline flea meds. I have been seeing a flea every week when I give him a bath and he is still scratching. He is not scratching as bad as before the frontline but is still scratching and still seems to have fleas. I have a vet appointment on sat and am going to tell him but I was just wondering why he still has fleas why the frontline hasn't killed them all. |
Topical spot products only work went the flea bites the dog. Fleas can spend time in carpets too, so it's important to vacuum more frequently (and empty the vac when done each time). Sprinkling table salt on the carpet will dehydrate the fleas, leave it overnight and vacuum the next morning. |
We've dealt with that in the past. I have found Comfortis works really well and quick. Usually within 2 ot 4 hours the fleas are suppose to be repelled or drop dead. Good luck to you and your little one. Fleas are no fun. |
