If anyone has had this problem and can tell me how to stop it pls do. I will talk to my vet tomorrow but hope i can get it stoped before. Bitty, Gizmo, Isabella, Anastasia, Baylie, and Trisha |
I have a 15 week old male yorkie ad he is doing the same thing. His food is down at all times but he keeps bringing poop in the house and eating it. If you get any answers will u please let me know. Its gross |
most yorkies do this, it's a matter of time for them to stop doing it, but if u are really desperate u can try a product that petco sells, PUTTY MOUTH. I am sure u can do a little research on line, there might be better product with great reviews for puppies that eat their poop. Good luck!:) |
My little guy did that for a while as well. We just really kept a good watch over him to prevent it and he did stop on his own. It did give me the creeps when he wanted to kiss me though! Yuck!!! |
There are several threads on here regarding this topic! go up to search, check next to post and type in eats poop!http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sea...archid=5885958 see if that link works |
My little girl has too but if was suggested to give some pineapple as it has an enzyme that makes the poop really bitter. It has worked for me. The vet sells stuff too. |
My yorkie use to do this when she was a pup and i started to give her pineapple as treat and she stopped doing it. Good luck. |
give pup pineapple on top of her food most pups love it. The pineapple produces enzymes that make the poo not taste as good to them someone told me it makes poo bitter?... Anyways it works my cj no longer likes to eat poo. Yay! Gross yuck just the thought.... makes me shudder ick!! hope this helps |
THanks so much for the info. I will try pineapple after talking with my vet. Trisha |
what I hate the worst is when my previous baby would get into the litter box! Scarlett doesn't eat poop, but, and I have plenty of pineapple in the cupboard just in case! LOL... :) |
We tried everything from the vet until I finally tried pineapple which I learned from the YT members. It will take awhile to work but it does. |
