Yorkie sheen arrived today ! Oh i love this stuff. My baby smells so sweet. His hair is so silky and shiny. I will definitely buy this again.... |
I too love the Yorkie Sheen....not sure yet about the shampoo and conditioner...will try them again next week. |
I still haven't tried this or Yorkie Splash and Shine. We have tried all sorts of other and not too content. I have heard great things about both....making it hard to decide. Maybe I should get both?? lol |

i don't think you would be dissappointed . i have not tried the shampoo yet either (that will be next week) but the smell of the yorkie sheen is heavenly.... |
I ordered the Yorkie Splash shampoo and conditioner plus the Yorkie Sheen detangler, love the Yorkie Sheen, it smells wonderful. I have only bathed Miss prissy once with the Yorkie Splash and not sure if I am going to like it..DH doesn't like the way she smells after using the shampoo and conditioner. |

what does it smell like ? |
I tried the Yorkie Splash shampoo with the conditioner last week. The shampoo has a really slick feel with a nice rich lather and it rinses easily. The conditioner though i'm not really a huge fan of. The shampoo leaves a sorta waxy feel on the hair and when you apply the conditioner it just sucks it all up so i ended up using way more than i wanted to. After rinsing the conditioner i wasn't crazy about the results. |

thx so much. i do absolutely love the Yorkie Sheen but i think i may wait on the shampoo. i am now using one from petsmart that i really like so i guess i will stay with that for now. |
i've been on the fence about these products as well! first time i'm hearing less then steller reviews...hmmm Brew has dry skin so i think i may have to go a different route for his hair care products |
I use all of the YSS products & love them. Yes, the shampoo will have a sort of waxy feel & it's talked about on the site. I find that using the conditioner as I would on my own head works best. That is, I use a small amount & focus on the ends, not the part where the hair comes from, since like us they have natural oils that come out. I'm just sorry I missed out on her last creation for Valentine's...:( |

but the YORKIE SHEEN IS AWESOME..... |
I use the shampoo, conditioner, and the detangler. I think it is all super great!! You do have a different feel at first from the shampoo but the conditioner takes care of that feeling. :) The smell is wonderful! |
As I said in another post maybe the shampoo and conditioner may have not mingled nicely with Miss Prissy's scent. I did love the Yorkie Sheen and will use the shampoo and conditioner to see if I like it before really canceling it out. I had been using Bounce shampoo, conditioner and grooming spray and we loved the smell, so maybe it is just the difference in the two that is bothering DH. I admit the Yorkie Splash lathers wonderfully... |
lol I must be tired I read your thread title and my brain processed it as " SEE MY NEW YORKIE HIS NAME IS SHEEN! ":) I was thinking why did they name their Yorkie after Charlie Sheen!!!! I really am pooped today! |
According to the creator of the product it does cause your pet to have some what of a waxy feel the first time you use it. I have found that a bath once every 7 to 10 days is best. I also do two washes and then I put the conditioner on just her ends. She now has a very long coat and it is so shiny and sleek when I use these products. I use the detangler spray between baths on her ends. She smells soooooo good! |
What shampoo do you use from Petsmart ? |
Oops, my mistake. Petco not petsmart Quote:
IT IS AWESOME. MAKES HIS COAT REALLY SOFT AND THE SCENT LASTS FOR DAYS. MOST IMPORTANTLY , NO ITCHYS Dogmaceuticals Bathe Soothing Oatmeal Dog Shampoo at PETCO |
Thanks for the info I am going to get some to. On a side note each time I see this thread for a second I think Charlie Sheen is finally here, not sure why but it cracks me up each time. |

lol ! You are welcome |
Anyone thinking of using the Yorkie Splash and Shine products might want to read up on it a bit. It is an all natural product and does not act like many of the regular products on the market. Because it does not have the detergents that a regular shampoo has it takes some time for your dog's skin to adjust to the natural ingredients. Usually at the second use of the shampoo you will see a big difference in your dog's coat and skin as they adjust to not being stripped by detergents. Detergents actually make your dog's skin over produce oils because of the skin being dried out by the detergents so they appear to get dirty faster than they should. We have been really impressed with how Gracie's coat has improved each time we use it. I always have best results by shampooing twice and then applying the YSS conditioner to her ends. She never itches anymore and the shine is amazing. She used to get stringy looking after only a couple of days after her bath but now she looks and smells great for over a week. |
OK, you guys just talked me into it. I just ordered the shampoo, conditioner and detangler. |
Does anyone know where you can get the Yorkie Sheen in Canada? I am interested! |

I did like how it lathered though and it seemed like it needed more than than the normal of the conditioner. Anyway I will keep using it since I want her hair to be beautiful.:) |

I usually only shampoo Lexie once because i didn't think she was dirty enough to need 2. But i'll try that now with this shampoo and see if it makes a difference. Since it's supposed to improve with use i'll give it a few more tries before i give my final verdict lol |
