Puppysitting bag :p I'm going out of town to go shopping tomorrow, just a day trip. I have to laugh at the bag I'm packing to take to my mom while she puppysits. It's almost like having a baby, hahaha. Food, plain yogurt, distilled water, cheerios, chew bone, carrier to sleep in, extra toys, and chew bone. Mom has more toys, treats, and potty pad. When I take him out it seems like I always have a handful of things to take or keep in vehicle. Carrier in vehicle with toys, extra water and food, tupperware for the water, harness, leash, etc. What do I take for myself? Practically nothing! Funny how we put our little ones first. He could go without this stuff of course and will at times. I do tend to plan ahead though. I'm not the only one, am I? :p |
Are you kidding??? When I used to leave my puppy with my mom I used to bring a real baby play pen so she could put her in there and she could play with her toys and she would be safe. haha They are just like real babies.. they need their stuff  |
No, I do it too! I'm lucky because my hubby is used to it, and he treats the Yorkies just like kids-just like I do! |
It is kind of amazing the things we get used to having for our fur babies. When I took Gracie on a 50 mile trip for Thanksgiving I had so many things for "just in case." I even packed her socks for if the floors were too cold for her. She is my baby after all! |
When I first got Cali my Dad broke his hip. I went to my patents a few times a week to help. I was an hour drive. I just ended up keeping a play pen and doubles of everything she needed. Just like I did when my mom took care of my daughter when she was a baby. Lol |
I have a diaper bag filled with Belle's necessities. It goes everywhere she does. :) |
Guilty!! I also had a list of no no foods on the fridge. My family was new at the dog ownership thing. |
Callie has like a diaper bag with extra shirt, blanket, two dishes, poo bags, water bottle, first aid kit, food, treats, comb, a toy, baby wipes, extra harness, extend leash, a regular extra leash and a few other things. Then she used to throw up in the car but hasn't in a long time maybe a year but we always take the "vomit" bag and it has towel, blankets, baby wipes, Lysol wipes, paper towels, and trash bags. And always of course her carseat. It is terrible when we go on a real trip because she has a lot more then me lol. |
I can so relate, we took Yoshi to the beach last year for a week and he had more stuff than we did, you have to be prepared..Just think we have Yoshi and Prissy to take this year. This should be interesting. |
I have a bag I specifically bought as a grab and go. It's small, for around town, but has harnesses, leads, treats, pick-up bags, bands, scrunchies, small brush, comb, and a doggy water bottle I fill before we leave, that live in it all the time. In the truck we keep a memory foam mat just for them. We put the mat into the bottom of the cart because twice Brody had a sore paw from being in a shopping cart. We have not left them anywhere yet, but I cannot imagine that I wouldn't be making up a much larger bag if they were going to be without me. :D We puppysit a Shih Tzu who brings her kennel, brush, harness, lead, and food only now. Our friend knows we really only need the kennel sippy bottle because we have everything else and can hook the sippy bottle to the kennel that lives in our dining area! Plus, I always have some special little thing to send home with her again...usually some pretty hair bows, etc. I sent a pack of scrunchies home last Monday, and I've got darling hair embellishments I got for her as a surprise before Christmas last year...for another time. :p Aren't they just so much fun? :D |
