One year ago... 3 Attachment(s) It's been just about 14 months ago that we got Bella :D It's been one year ago since I stopped driving the big yellow semi truck across the country with my husband. I've been reflecting this morning how much my life has changed in that year & while some of it has been extremely painful, I've survived it. Had anyone in my past asked me if I'd change my life for a dog I know that my answer then wouldn't be the same as now. BUT, she brings so much joy to me there's no way I'd ever let her go. I've had to change the way I think about things & realize that the almighty dollar isn't everything. Sad that not everyone feels this way & probably, had they been in my shoes, would have given her away to someone else. A year ago, I was a gypsy; today I'm a doggy mom that spends her time with three dogs, sewing a little just to feel somewhat productive. I wouldn't change it for anything or anyone :p Where were you a year ago? (here's a few pics of Bella, Tuffy & Sugar a year ago) |

btw...Sugar is NOT my dog but belongs to my very good friend Lisa (aka sugarmomma) |
Awww Sherry. You have been through a lot of change in the last year. Change is often difficult, but I believe things always happen for a reason, and Bella came into your life to make this change happen for what ever reason that is, it's a blessing. Hugs. |
They are very blessed dogs to have you. So many people get a dog and make it the last priority of their lives. I'm always happy to see well loved pets. |
You are such a wonderful mommy to your babies!! I have enjoyed getting to know you this past year!! If you ever need to feel more productive, you can just sew my gang up some new stuff!!;) Just kidding!! One year ago today... I had a 3 day old Mack Brown.... Yes, alot of things have changed in one year!! But, like you.... I wouldnt change a thing!!! |
Nice story. You've gone from none to three. Amazing. We're happy with one. While many have recommended we get a second, at this time, Bailey is the man! We're pleased with that. |
One year ago...my approx. 14-yr-old 120+ lb, blind, rescued Shep/Lab had recently passed and I was AGAIN certain I would NEVER have another dog because it is just too difficult to lose any kitty or doggy babies. Today...I have two, almost 2-yr-old Yorkie babies, Brody and Mia, both of whom came to me because they were not a good fit in their previous families. This morning...I again got up, took the babies outside for a walk, carrying Brody around the yard...in the dark...in my robe...while HE carefully selected THE SPOT where he would ALLOW me to put him down, then I did top knots, fed the kitties, refilled bowls with organic, species-specific, bio-appropriate kibble, washed and refilled with fresh cool water all water bowls, cooked organic eggs over easy in organic, expeller-pressed coconut oil over low heat, carefully placed each one on one of my Corelle salad plates, mashed each with a fork and cooled it, giving one to Mia...who is almost always right with me...and carrying the other to Brody...in bed...MINE!...:D You DID notice that I didn't mention DH or I getting a hot home cooked organic breakfast before going to work, right? :p But..I wouldn't change a thing !!! :happyboun |

I was not in a good place this time last year. |
Last year at this time we were planning and buying things for our pond we put in our backyard. It took about every extra money we had. We are working on the landscaping and putting in pavers this yr. This yr we are really into fitness and losing weight. My Husband has lost 40 lbs and I have lost a little weight too. |
