Distilled water? Can a dog drink purely distilled water and be healthy lacking all the minerals from water? |
I've always given my yorkies nothing but distilled water. I'm a great believer that it helps prevent tearing eyes. |

Thanks for the response's! Somebody told me today that it would eventually dehydrate them. I didn't think it would but I am glad I asked! :) |

Gerber Baby Water has done wonders for Taycie. I love it. She has been tear stain free since July of last year! |

Bailey drinks puddles of water when we take walks. So far so good! |
I give Gracie and me distilled or purified water all the time. There should be no nutritional value to water. Some waters are very hard and contain things that are not helpful to the body at all. I always encourage Gracie to drink lots of water and she loves drinking it out the bottle. The fresher the better. |

The Fluoride water I have seen is clearly marked. It should be easy to find regular distilled water. |

I bought Gerber Pure water today. It says it's distilled with minerals added for taste. No fluoride. This is the right water? His face is often wet from tearing. Was worse when I first got him. I do wash his face with a warm wet rag once or twice a day but still getting a little hardness around eyes. He won't let me comb that area. He is sorta hyper and wants to put things like that in his mouth! Don't they make a wash for dog's faces? I can't use his tearless shampoo with just a rag and it says avoid eyes anyway. I know next time he is groomed and eyes are fresh I'll keep on top of them even more. He also has a few hairs that are going near his eye but he won't let me trim them. I'll try the water for a mnth and if no help try Angel Eyes. He is teething. |
