Well, I wanted to tip Pnut's ears- His ear hair was getting out of control- I thought to myself "how hard can it be"?? Well it turns out it is pretty hard!

This is the outcome! :eek: I know, I know, it looks horrible!! Ugh- I feel bad he has to walk around like that, I told Pnut Mommy would never do that to him again! :D

I think I need a sponsor, so when I have the urge you can talk me out of it!

Then DH says " Well I think it looks off bc his beard hair is long, you should trim that" LOL I said are you joking??? I am leaving it a lone!!

In April I am going to get him shaved so I guess we will have to wait until then!

Peanut was not in the mood for his picture taken this morning, this is the best I can do LoL I think he is embarrassed!!

:D Thank you! He is still my cute baby! I honestly think I am "over" this long hair- I thought I wanted to grow it out, but I think we are ready for a change!!

Once the beard gets too long it starts little funny to me, unless the body hair is really long.. :confused: I dont know anymore!

I use to keep Jersey long but he has a cottony coat and it very hard to keep up with. Now I keep him short . Brielle has a silky coat that is very easy to manage, she is long

Too funny! I like the furry ears look. My girl has a long coat. I trim her feet, face, and butt a bit and keep her looking decent between groomings. I just have to stay away from her body and the fur around her face. I can't even it off to save my life. What a mess I made!

Thankfully I finally found a groomer that listens and does a good job.

:D Thanks! Uh but we have been there done that!! Well DH did- DH has a shaved head and wanted Peanut to have one too! I believe Pnut was 1, I came home to find my yorkie shaved 100% no whiskers no eye lashes no nothing! He looked like a Chi!! Dh was in the dog house LoL!

Ya the short is easier, but there is nothing like giving them a bath (when they have long hair) and then snuggling them after They are so soft and smell so good!

LoL- Now I realize I like the furry ear look- I was trying to just trim a little, and then you say oh let me cut this piece, then this piece and then the outcome is this LoL!! Oh well- His ear hair grows pretty fast so thats good!

I do the same with Peanut he hasnt been groomed in 9 months, I have been trimming his bum, and pee area I do a decent job at that, oh and I trim his eye hair.. I dont know what got into me!

I will say this all the good groomers out there I give you all credit! It is very hard, esp with the type of hair they have!

LOL at least you cant say he hasnt had all kinds of different cuts and looks.

How funny! He looks like a completely different dog... Remember though, it's just hair! It will grow back. I prefer the longer hair on Couver's ears, but Khloe looks better with trimmed ears. I think it depends on the dog.

I usually try to just trim the top 1/3- 1/2 of the ears. It tidies them up, and on the lower part they still have the dangly hairy ear look. Plus it camoflages the actual size of their ears...


I agree though Pnut is a cutie.. no matter what his Mommie does to him, lol!:D

Aww, Peanut still looks adorable! :) My rule is that I don't cut any hairs on Levi's head. I won't trim his beard, ears, face...I'm terrified of messing his little face up! I'll trim up his body or feet, but the his facial area scares me! :p

He still looks cute. I did always think he looked cute when you kept him shaved. If you shave him, you can trim the hair around his face. Just look at him and draw an imaginary circle around his face and you would be able to follow that. He's a cutie no matter what length his hair is.

I think that is where I messed up LoL- I trimmed too much of the hair below :p

Aw thank you! I love the look of him when he is shaved as well- He looks so younger! I am going to wait a couple months and then take him to the groomers- I dont need to be messing with his face, I will leave that to his groomer! I can't wait for him to be shaved, I miss that look!

Once it gets hot he does not tolerate the heat- he will basically do nothing outside if he isnt shaved LoL
