So why didnt someone just tell her partis are AKC registered the color is just defined as a fault by the YTCA parent club. No one explained to her that there was a certain controversy to the partis which she knew but just stated that they werent AKC which was wrong.
I personally don't know a lot about partis so I didn't feel comfortable saying info I'm not really sure about but I think someone who has the info should still post it here for that person and others who read this thread. The way this person said things though I am not sure they would believe it.

So a breeder that deliberately breeds them is purposely breeding for a fault?

If you believe and adhere to the ytca as the parent club as far as standards yes. Im not saying this as my opinion one way or another about partis it is just a fact that it is a fault according to the ytca. There have been tons of threads on this and the parti breeders feel the color should be accepted but so far it has not been. They can be registered akc though same as goldens and chocolates also but those colors are also considered faults

Correct :) :) :)

Sometimes when ppl hear "fault" they assume it mean HEALTH and its not...its color according to the YTCA standards.
The AKC Parti Yorkie is the same dog as the Biewer. Only the Parti originated here and the AKC registers them and the Biewer orginated in Germany and AKC does not register them. IBC does or the US has started some groups.

Just one thing I wanted to say. Sometimes when we hear "doctor" (or breeder or lawyer or... you can go on) we automatically think educated, authority, knows their business, etc. and then we take offense to what they say.

I worked in a law firm for 14 years. I don't look at attorneys as any smarter now than the average bear now. :) there are breeders, and there are breeders. If you take a moment to evaluate the level of education, look at past posts of the poster, etc., it becomes a lot clearer.

Yes...considered a COLOR fault by a very small number of people who just so happens to hold the power over whether or not a parti yorkie can show. It is a fault in the show ring only. NOT with it's health, nor it's ability to be a very beautiful Yorkshire Terrier and most importantly...a happy, healthy family pet.

Just because this original poster says she is a breeder, she is really ignorant to alot of facts related to breeding. I work in a Home Health office, that definitly does NOT make me a nurse, if you know what I mean. I say leave the breeding to the experts!
