Need Suggestions
 
I purchased a Dainty Dawg of Rosie. Which I love love love. My question is what I can use to protect it? I am looking for some type of case to put it in. I went to Hobby Lobby today and they had one for a baseball. But I feel it takes away from the Dainty Dawg. Any Suggestions????

I bought a plexiglass display case for model cars and put a fabric covering over the base and made a replica of Jada's yellow dog and Bogie's favorite ball ..that size case would be too large for one Dainty Dawg though:( you need to get Rosie done and it would work:D https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?f...type=3&theater

I can't even find those type of cases?! Where did you get it? Yours looks adorable. And it still shows off the pups. Who look darling!!! Doesn't take away from it at all!! Do they offer those cases in smaller versions? I went to Hobby lobby and found nothing.

Kim was selling some shadow box cases awhile back for them, not sure if she still has them. I'd pm her.

Guess I posted in the wrong (linked) thread about the little glass bell jars...also they make lighted turntables if you want to put it on display but keep it untouched. :)

Do you have a curio cabinet to put it in? Start checking second hand stores or flea markets

I am pretty sure I found it on Amazon.. I will see if they still have them

IDK..I was looking at the sizes too. My Dainty Dawgs are in my office at work. I am going to measure Tuesday when I go back to see what size I would need for two or would you do a display for each??? Decisions, Decisions:p

Rosie is about 4 1/2" long and 4" tall. I think for one the 5.5" x 5.5" will be big enough. I may go ahead and order. Do you like having them together? I would keep them that way if I liked it. But then you could have each one separate and do their own little personalities. Ha ha. Have fun deciding!

LOL you are no help at all:D I do like them together though as that is the way they are at home...always together like glue:)

Just a thought--maybe check with a local trophy shop and see if they might carry something small like a ball cube. Also, see if Things Remembered (at most malls) carries a keepsake case. Good luck in your search--your Dainty Dawg is awesome! :D

Yep. I used to give bride and groom one for wedding cake toppers from the cakes I made them. Some people froze the edible people, etc. but they are nice for display 'cuz you can easily lift the dome any time to view the trinket or clean the dome. If you want to put it on a lighted, turning base, look for a glass or crystal candle holder or coaster to fit the glass dome. I also have made my own with pretty, clear compotes, candy dishes, drinking glasses, fish bowls, etc., turned upside down on clear candle holders. Flea markets are great for variety. You can seal with hot glue or make a gasket and/or inner, non-slip base out of latex rubber which is clearish-white if you want to remove the contents. The hot glue mats, which are now inexpensive compared to years ago, :p do work.

I have some plastic display cases for little collectible stuffies, and I like them too, but sizes were the problem...and reliable sources.
