Comfort Zone I bought a bottle of the spray Comfort Zone a while back. It's rather spendy, but I had a $10 off coupon. Anyway, I got it mainly for when we go out of town and Maddie and Libby get so stressed and pant and carry on. I haven't had a chance to try it on that yet, but did once when I was leaving them at my sister's for the day. They were quite calm on the way to her house and it definitely made a difference. Today I had to take Maddie to the vet. She normally shakes and pants terribly from the minute we walk in the door. About 10 minutes before we left, I sprayed a couple shots of comfort zone on the front of my shirt and figured with me holding her, she'd get the scent of it. Amazing! She didn't pant at all and didn't even shake while we were waiting. She was so calm! She did start to pant after the vet did a needle aspiration of a lump on her back, but it was still nothing like the panting she normally does. I'm sold on this stuff and plan to try a little road trip soon to test it out that way. Good news is, Maddie's lump shows no cancer cells, but did show bacteria, so she is on an antibiotic. |
That's great! Sounds like a good product! And I'm glad there was no sign of cancer! |
Sounds like a great product and glad that Maddie is ok... |
Sounds like something we should try with my moms yorkie Sammy in the car. So glad the lump was not cancer. |
Thanks for the information.. I will try at on my bailey! Glad the lumb was not cancer |
That's good to know. I am glad Maddie's lump wasn't anything serious. |
Oh Connie, thank the Lord the lump was nothing serious. Now, for the Comfort Zone, it may just be the thing Zhoie needs for riding in the car. She trembles and pants while riding in the car. So, it's a spray? Would I like spray it on her car seat? Do you have a link where I can purchase it? Thanks so much for sharing! |
Connie, So happy there was no cancer. I hope she will be perfectly fine. That stuff sounds great. I'm glad it is working well. |
I could use this with Bogie. He gets stressed in the car. Thank goodness the lump wasn't anything serious. Bogie also had a lump on his back a few months ago and it sounds like the same thing Maddie has. He was on antibiotics and it cleared right up. |

I just found it on Amazon for $19.84! Of course there will be shipping with that, but at our pet store it was $43 something and I had a $10 coupon! Here is the Amazon link: They sell a plug in diffuser for comfort zone also, but the spray bottle is what you would need if you are using it other than at home. The directions are to spray about 8-10 sprays inside the car 20 minutes before you are leaving. That is what I did when I took them to my sister for a day. Normally they love in town car rides, but seem to know if I am going to be leaving them, so they carry on like lunatics. LOL That time they were so much more calmer. Libby acted a little anxious, but not the norm of heavy panting and shaking. I am anxious to try it going out of town and will do that as soon as I get time and let you know. |
I'm not sure why that other link didn't show the cheapest one...here's another link with all the different prices: Amazon.com: Used and New: Comfort Zone with D.A.P. Spray for Dogs, 60 ml |
Thanks so much Connie, I'm going to give it a try. It's a long ride for us to NCSU and the girl is miserable the entire way :( |
