Thank you for not loving her.... Thank You for Not Loving Her being Valentines Day and the topic is love, I thought this poem about a rescue dog was very appropriate.. to those of us that rescue..and I know there are many on this site, this will bring a tear to your eyes...I can't take credit for writing it, and I don't know who did...but every once in a while I'll read it just to remind myself why we do what we do... to those of you looking to add to your yorkie family, please consider adopting a yorkie... these innocent babies have been abandoned at no fault of their own... often winding up in high kill shelters or abusive situations.. Yorkie Terrier Rescue Network - Home is one in the souther US..there are more where you live.... |
Wow, that made me cry out of happiness and sadness. Made me think of all those pups that deserve a chance at life and were discarded like trash because their human mom or dad didn't have time for them anymore. All those puppy kisses that were waiting to be given to a caring human and there wasn't one for them. It is so sad. I'm glad this pup found a wonderful human to love him. |
What a lovely story, so many people get a dog, just because it sounds like the thing to do, some image they have of what people should be like, but dogs aren't for everyone. I hope whether it's the first or if someone is adding to their family, they will consider rescues, you will get so much more back than what you give. |
Oh how truly fitting for ALL dogs wether it be a rehome or a shelter dog. They are ALL waiting for their special Love to come along. I have only 1 dream & it is for ALL shelters & rescues to be able to shut & lock their doors forever. Now wouldn't that be a perfect world ? |
Wow, that is very powerful. Both of my two were re-homes and while Khloe's family loves and still loves her dearly... Couver was no longer wanted by his family. He has brought me more joy than anything else in this world, and I could not imagine life without either of them. Thank you for sharing this! |

A very touching story. |
Thank you for posting this beautiful poem. Our first Yorkie was also a rescue named "Tina" so the poem seemed to be written for her, too. I have tried to express these same ideas before, but never this eloquently. |
Very touching story... |
Oh, that made me cry. |

Makes me think of what Rudi went through... and i am so thankful we have him our sweet boy |
Wow! Thank you for sharing! |
yorkie rescue two of my dogs were rescues, one from a very high kill shelter, I can only imagine what happened to them before they came to live with me. my daughter and I rescue about 10 dogs per year, (we even had a guinea pig that had been dumped outside in freezing conditions at my husbands apartment complex).... If people only knew what happens to these poor creatures, maybe more would rescue or help with rescue efforts... Foster, transports, just Help! |
