Daisy is addicted to TV A couple weeks ago, Daisy, who loves to look out the window, discovered that television is even better. She is totally transfixed by the TV now, and she prefers animal shows. Her addiction is so over the top, that after she uses the pee pad, she no longer begs for her treat, but has to get right back to her spot, twirl, and then sit and stare. Her spot is about 3' in front of the TV. She does get up and walk around in a circle if we change it from Animal Planet, but she will eventually settle into HGTV or whatever else is on too. She does not usually like commercials though, based on the increased circling behavior. I think she circles when she is impatient that Animal Planet is not on; good thing she hasn't figured out the remote (yet). Anybody's Yorkie show similar behavior? |
Haha...that is too funny!!! I can't say mine cares about tv...i even put the puppy bowl on for him but he just didn't care. |
That's too cute. Callie likes to watch tv but dosent seem addicted to it lol. When she was in her play pen after surgery she would cry when the tv wasn't on when she got bored and didn't want to sleep or chew on a bone. You really need to get a video of her doing it lol. |
That is pretty cute! Mine will sometimes watch tv when she is eating.:D |
LOL, we have a big screen and all of a sudden at about 3 months Prissy noticed it and jumped, she has never paid any attention to it since. You gotta love their little quirks... |
ZoE watches tv too! She has some commercials that she especially likes and as soon as she hears the opening music/sound, she'll come running from wherever she's at in the house to sit in front of the tv. She seems to really like watching dogs, horses, cows and little kids....but totally freaks out at babies (diaper commericals, etc). |
Romeo loves to watch Animal Planet as well. His favorite show is Chimp Eden. One day his sisters were watching their photographs on the TV. He went crazy barking and trying to get at the screen when he recognized their pictures on the screen!! He does this as well when he sees them on the Webcam.. |
My Yorkies don't pay it any mind.... but the first time my GSD saw a squirrel on the TV, I thought we were going to have to buy a new TV, lol. |
How funny! The only one that seems to even notice the tv is Khloe. She will bark when she sees an animal on it. She's even jumped down off of the couch and has gone behind the tv to try and find where the animal is coming from LOL |
That is too funny1 i thought only my chi was crazy. She knows when pitbulls and parolless is coming on a nd watches it faitfully. my yorkie is mellow and rolls with anything. |
That is too cute! Darla pays no notice to the tv. All she wants is to be laying in someones lap getting some loving. |
Thanks for all the great replies! I am glad we are not alone. I am certain that the newer big screen HDTVs have a lot to do with her addiction. Although the craziest thing is, we have had this big screen HDTV for 2 years now, and Daisy (who is 4 years old) never showed much interest until a couple weeks back, now she can't live without her TV! If I could find my mini video recorder, I would show you what she does, but there is not much to it, usually just sits and stares and circles every once in a while when she is inpatient. You know you are a crazy Yorkie lover when you put on Animal Planet for your Yorkie, when you'd otherwise be watching something else. Of course, we are on line while the TV is on, so in some respects, it does not matter what's on all that much:D |
How funny that Daisy has fallen in love with TV. :) Next she will want a mobile phone! I don't blame her for being impatient with commercials. :p |
That is too funny:) Thanks for sharing |
