You know how you think of a snappy comeback way too late? We were buying p-pads and the cashier said, "you know this just makes them want to potty inside." Hours later I figured I should have said, "yeah, that's sort of the point" or "well, where do you go?" :D I love p-pads! |

I think whatever works for you and your dog that's what you should do. Peanut was pad trained- We have lived in apartments since we had him. Every time we went to Petsmart to buy the pads I would get the 'Oh you have a puppy comment"" How old is your puppy" LoL I would say 2 or 3 years haha Then I would say you know what they say about people who assume!! No I didn't say that LoL. Now we are in a house- We moved in 6 months ago. We are in the process of training him outside! DH made him a nice doggy door with a dog pen and everything! I do still buy a bag of pads when it rains, he doesnt like going out in the wet :p Whatever works for you and your dog- Who cares what people think about the rest! :D |
Well, I was at Walmart today buying my pee pads. The girl who was checking me out asked me how they worked for me and my dog. I told her I had a little Yorkie and that she has used them very well since she was a little puppy. This girl wants to get a Minpin and use either pads or a litter box for it. I think a minpin would be a little big for pee pads but I know they make the bigger pads for bigger dogs. I didn't want to sway her one way or another about it. She is still trying to convince her husband it will work. Pee pads are a different sort of concept for many people. Their minds just go to "reject" when they think of something that is outside of their knowledge base. If someone is interested in learning why I use them I am happy to talk to them about it, if they already have their minds made up against them and are being negative then I don't bother to acknowledge them. |
1 Attachment(s) I use pee pads to.. I made Yogi his own private outhouse..lol It started out as a play house/toy storage, he kept peeing in it...So I just placed a pad in it and away he went. |
Because Mickey is pee pad trained, in the rain he will just go on his pads. Max is outside trained but will not go outside if it is raining. He hates it and as soon as he knows it he turns tail for inside. Then I have an accident to clean up . Mickey mostly goes on his pads. So I have one inside potty dog and one outside. |
