Always puppy-proof your hotel rooms! We went out of town and stayed in a hotel with Sophie & Sam this weekend. When we got to our room, I wouldn't put them down on the floor until my hubby searched for things that they might get into. I think that he thought I was being a little overprotective until he lifted up a dust ruffle and there was a small pill lying on the floor! So please, always check every nook and cranny just to be safe! |
Thank you for bringing this up and you are so right, we never know what is under the bed, desks and so forth...I am continually doing this at home since Prissy will scarf up anything on the floor. |
I hope you reported to the manager that you found a pill. They have a chart and always know who cleaned the room, and they can make sure the person does a better job with vacuuming from now on. I'm surprised that there are hotels that still have beds you can see under. All the beds we have ever had have a wood frame so that nothing can get under it. We stay at the Marriott Residence Inn the times we don't take our coach. |
Great advice! Back when Hurricane Jeanne was threatening our area, we evacuated to North Florida. I had one Yorkie at the time, Starr. Got a hotel room and luckily checked under the bed and found m&m's under there:eek: Glad your hubby found that pill and not one of your babies! |

I didn't think about reporting it to the manager; I guess I should have done that. It wasn't a bed you could see under, it was right up against where the wood frame meets the carpet. You couldn't see the pill until the dust ruffle was lifted. This is exactly why I prefer our motorhome to a hotel! |
This is always a good thing to remember I never put Callie down until I do a check. |

Anything so we can always take our babies huh? :D |
Exactly! :) |
Wonderful advice! I am ashamed to say that I did not even think of doing this on our hotel visits. We have only had three, but you can bet I will from now on! Thank you for the advice!!! :) |
Great advice. I am so glad your husband found it before your babies did. |
Gosh good tip, we stay in Hotels all the time and I never think to look close to the bed. We are going to the Beach in the Florida Panhandle in March I will make sure we check close to and under the bed. |
