We will be thinking about Callie... |
Prayers and hugs... will be checking in tomorrow hoping for good news. |
Thanks everybody I am hopping I am able to get some sleep tonight. I will try to update you as soon as I can tomorrow. |
We'll be keeping Callie in our prayers. FYI, 1 of the vets that we see told me that it can take up to a year for a dog to fully recuperate from surgery. I had no idea. Hot Rod did and still does the leg hopping and its been almost 3 years. The surgeon and 2 of the vets that we see all say that his leg is knee feels good and is what it should be. They've all said that it could be a learned behaviour on his part. When the little booger wants to run and/or chase after Maggie, he takes off like a jack rabbit. Good luck tomorrow and please let us know what the surgeon says. |

Charlie our lab had a torn ligament repaired when he was just 8 mos old. I want to say it took him almost a full year to be completely back to normal. And even still, he will hold that leg up, Dr. said everything looks healthy and normal, he is fine, it may just be learned behavior. Let us all pray for sweet little Callie. We pray that her current ailment just be a continuing part of her own healing process. That her surgeon and their staff be skilled and well informed in her condition and that Momma may have patience and her worries be put to rest. Amen |
Prayers and good thoughts going out for Callie and you. Hope this little set back turns out to be nothing much. |
Praying for good results |
I am so sorry Callie is having problems, I will be thinking of you both today |
i hope callie is ok...keeping her in my thoughts and prayers. good luck. |
Ok I am updating using my phone so if something is spelled wrong i am sorry. They think its the pins causing the pain so they are going to sedate her and take xrays and if its the pins they are going to pull them out. |

Alrighty we are back home and Callie is doing great. She is still a little groggy but very alert. I took her out to go potty before I tucked her into bed and she was walking almost perfect! They removed the pins and gave her a shot of pain meds and then tonight I am supposed to give her a pain pill and give her one every day for a week. We are back to leash walks only for a week though. She doesn't have to go back in the pen but needs to stay pretty calm. We are supposed to baby sit Sammy all weekend so hopefully I can keep her calm. I have closed the doggy door and blocked off all the furniture. I am now sitting on the floor next to her sleeping in her bed. I hope this was the problem and that she will be great soon. I bought her 3 toys and some treats in pecto while they were doing everything. They said as soon as she woke up her tail was wagging like crazy. Thanks everyone for all the prayers we will still take some for healing please :) |
So glad that callie's home now. Hopefully removing the pins fixed the problem. Sending healing prayers.... |
Will definitely be praying or you guys! We hope Callie gets better really soon! |
Glad she is home and doing ok. Still saying prayers for her! Sure hope it was those pins and now that they are out she won't have any more pain. |
