Natalie......where are you?????? NATALIE...WE ALL KNOW YOU WENT TO GET YOUR NEW BABY TODAY........ i, as well as everyone else, is holding our breath......did you get him???? how is he doing?????? please, tell us all the details!!!!!!! |
I'm trying to get him familiar with his new home! I don't know what to do! My breeder said that it's best to ignore him when you put him in the crate and he wants to play so that he won't get use to you coming when he whimpers and barks because then he'll bark everytime he wants you to come thinking that you'll come! I played with him for an hour and a half and I put him in his crate but he still wants to play and he keeps whimpering but I'm trying not to give in and listen to the breeder! Is this right? I feel so bad, he's looking at me through his crate! :( |
When I brought Lizzy home, she was with me 24/7. I remember my husband telling me that I was holding her to much and that she was going to be spoiled, but I didn't care, I wanted her to be spoiled. Now, 8 years later, she is still spoiled rotten and I would not have her any other way. I always felt like when I first brought her home that was the most important time for me to bond with her and become her new mother. I can only imagine how frightning it must be for them when they leave their moms and come into a new home, I just think it makes more since to bond with them right off the bat by spending as much time cuddling and playing as you possibly can. But I am probally the worst person to be giving advice on this subject because my dogs are spoiled rotten and so is my daughter. lol. My daughter slept in the bed with us until she was 5 and my two yorkies sleep with us every night. We also take them with us almost every where we go. :animal-sm |
