Fell out of bed onto pillow Meesha usually stays to her side of the bed at night, the safe side against the wall either on the pillow or on or under the comfortor, usually when she's sleeping she wants nothing to do with me and keeps to her side. Well last night was the most bizzare behaviour fr . I woke up to her above my head with her head on my ponytail, then I woke again with her face of my nose, then again her whole body wrapped around my head LOL. then back to the pillow above my head , next thing I hear this big plop noise, I turned on the lamp to find meesha had fallen off of the bed onto the pillows I keep on the floor next to the bed, and get this, she was still sleeping like nothing happened!!, that's a 2 foot drop??, do you think maybe she was sleep walking???,so strange ,she ended up on my head then the floor, very unlike her!!, I was even going to move the pillows away from the floor last week because she's getting older and knows better then to go near the edge of the bed, thank god I didnt, she would have fallen 2feet onto hardwood floor in her sleep, deff a scary night! So thankful for those pillows!!!!!!!those pillows are staying there for good no matter how horrible n messy they make my room look, so thankful for them.I guess no matter how confidante you are that your dog knows better, accidents can still happen n fall off in their sleep |
Wow ! Thank Goodness. My sister puts her Chihuahua in her little pillow bed, then on the bed for the same reason. |
I'm glad she was ok. I put up a baby guard rail on my bed to keep mine from jumping done on the middle of the ramp instead of the top where their suppossed to. Now that Nikki is almost totally blind it helps keep him safely on my bed. I know what you mean about the room looking messy! My whole bedroom and walk in closet has been taken over by dog ramps, beds, crates toy box etc. lol |

Glad she's ok and didn't get hurt. I can't believe she didn't wake up when she hit the pillows. |
Thank goodness she was not hurt. Those pillows came in handy didn't they? One of mine broke her leg in 2 places from falling off the bed. Scares you death. She fell on carpet too. I really am more at ease with them sleeping in their own little beds but my dh keeps putting them in bed with us. |
Thank goodness she was not hurt. Maybe she started out trying to wake you because she needed to potty ? I also have the baby guard rail on my bed, the Graco one & I made a slip cover for it to match my bedding. I have found that they can get between the bed & the rail but if I throw a blanket over the rail & the bed, they can't get between. |

Thanks she usually wakes up and walks down her ramp to her potty pad, so she didn't have to potty, n I was in shock to turn on the lamp and see her still asleep, I thought she might have been hurt or something,I might get a guard rail n cover it to match my bed, that's a good idea...I'm pretty sure she was sleep walking? Lol because she never goes near me when she's sleeping, I can't even pet her or anything when she's asleep, she'll move further away fr me, but yes gladidodnt move those pillows like I was going to, accidents happen when u least expect them |
Oh, thank goodness she is ok. That always scares me. I let Katie Scarlett on the bed with us for a bit at night before bed time and in the morning for a cuddle fest, but she is right near me at all times. When she gets tired of lovin', she walks to the foot of the bed and lays down in the middle. I then get up and put her in her big girl bed on the floor next to our bed. I'm always afraid I'll roll over on her during the night or she will fall off. My husband also doesn't want her on the bed with us all night. He says he likes his privacy...tee hee! :) |
