Free 13 wk. old YT on CL!?
 
I don't know if this ad is real or true or what, but I took my chances writing an email. How could I not? A free puppy that could truly end up in the wrong hands. How can you have a 13 week old then discover you don't have time for it? I guess if it's your first pup they are more work than you can really be prepared for just through research.

I was just awake for a minute & was going to go back to sleep since it's my weekend off (2nd since 7/21:eek::D) but now I wont be able to leave my pc! Well...we'll see!

Interesting. At one point she says 13 yrs but that may have been a typo since she also said just a pup??

And no character traits???? :(

Yes, I addressed the age thing in the email. As for character traits maybe she means she's just not set in her ways so to speak-I don't know. IF it did get to the point, we'd BOTH have to take her to a vet of my choosing. Maybe she's sick & can't deal with it so she's trying to get rid of her while she's a cute pup? I don't know.:confused:

Realistically, it could also be a scam with someone wanting me to pay 'shipping' etc. for a pup that doesn't exist, you just never know. I'll just keep waiting on the email.

My daughter got a 5 month old maltese from CL, a HS boy had just graduated and his Mother had bought the pup as a gift. Well he had no idea how much work it was. So my DD has a beautiful little boy, he was a hot mess when she got him since the boy had never combed or brushed him, she cut out all she could and then took him to the vet and groomers, such a healthy little boy and so sweet and good natured. He is a year old and he gets along with her Peke, which is a sweet heart too, so calm and serene, so unlike my Yoshi. Yoshi has always had an edgy side.

Do they contact you through Craig's list or through your email? Be careful giving someone like this your email, they sometimes have ads like this just to gather email addresses of sympathetic persons. Then you could be targeted for bogus animal charities and other things.

If they want you to pay a shipping fee, it's a scam.

She or whoever never got back to me. People trying to sell pups are on there all the time, saying they have to rehome their 8-10-12 week old pups. One day I made a post that said you're not REhoming the pups if you're just getting rid of the pups that were born with you, you're selling them. Of course it got flagged not long into the day.:rolleyes: But to just give one away, especially a potentially expensive/sought out breed seemed weird, making me more curious.

On cL here you can respond to this general email from cL like aoiwejo031239@craigsl....blabla & the person gets notified & writes back to your 'secret' email so cL is kind of the monkey in the middle.

Either way, I hope this poor girl goes somewhere safe if she is real, and if not, I'm sorry someone unknowing may get ripped off.

Oh okay, thanks for telling me, I always worry about people who respond to those ads. Some sound like English is not the first or even second language.
