Hyper? I went by my groomers today to get Kirby's food and I was speaking with one of the groomers there . I told them that Kirby will be getting a little yorkie sister sometime this year. She said to me oh yorkies are too hyper! Well when Kirby was a puppy she was super hyper and to me sometimes at her seasoned age she is still hyper. Are yorkies unusally hyper? |
Yes, they are hyper, it is a part of their breed. My baby girl is very hyper and we love her more with each day...give lots of exercise and love.. |

Levi is 4 years old and is still incredibly hyper every single day of his life. I love all of his energy. I do much better with an active pup than a lazy pup! :) |
They were born this way. They are tenacious little terriers. |
Sophia is especially crazy at night time. She gets in moods where she sprints around the apartment for a good 5 minutes. We say she's being a "Ray Rice" :D |
I'd say it's normal. Jackson has his hyper moments but I'd call him more... active versus hyper, if that makes sense? He's still very very active at 3 years old, and I do not see it changing anytime soon. But all he needs is some good exercise and he's all good. She has probably seen Yorkies that are under-exercised and under-trained ;) |
when I first saw sonic he wasn't active at all, I bought him and well then he changed he was like a little ping pong ball bouncing off the walls, and still is, I love the little guy |
Great, I have no problem with this. Bichons do this thing called blitzing when they go charging through out of the blue. I don't care for couch potatoes pups. Active pups give the entire household more energy to me. Kirby is almost 8 and she still gets hyper. I am looking foward to get some more doggy energy going on in my house. I am so grateful that I have Kirby to take on walks because she helps me stay active too. |
I have hyper Prissy and a couch potato named Yoshi..Prissy is my Yorki girl and Yoshi is my Pekingese boy, they both bring me so much joy..It does make life fun when Prissy will do her zooms and Yoshi just watches her. |
When I went out of town last week I left my yorkies with a friend who has a beagle and a golden retriever. When I picked them up she told me she wanted a yorkie before watching them but now she changed her mind. She said she could understand Sukie because she was a baby but she said Roscoe was like a hyper puppy himself :D I love it though they keep me active and entertained. |
