Got an email yesterday from a lady (who owns a pet store in our city).....wanting to buy my female puppy! I emailed her back and stated 1) I have never advertised them for sale. 2) they have loving homes already as both are spoken for 3) I will not sell to a pet store or to a person I DO NOT KNOW. :thumbup:
Her response to me was .........she wanted for her own personal pet, she would pay double what I sold her for and I was being narrow minded! (like that will get me to sell to her :rolleyes: ! Does she think I have a Letter "S" on my forehead??
I replyed with a sorry cannot do it as I have already given my word and I am not in need of extra $$.........I also explained we did not have our puppies for financial gain...(this is why we work!!). She responded basically if I did not take her offer I was stupid! She wants to come over to talk to me and see puppies! I have never had dealings with such an assertive person on a personal level....at work and in my job yes,,,,but........I am not impressed!
HAS ANYONE HAD DEALINGS LIKE THIS BEFORE???.... :confused:
ps..........not responding to her anymore my Hubby said if she comes over he'll deal with her!

I am not a breeder, but I would say--Stand firm on your answer and be strong!!!! And good for you for not stooping to her level, you sound like you are a strong person by not giving in to her antics! And I hope she leaves you alone.

I have never dealt with anyone like that ! But She sounds like Bad NEWS :eek: !!!! You were right to tell her all of your rules !! (WHICH ARE GREAT :thumbup: !!) .. She must have missed a shipment of her poor puppymill pups :( ! She's a LOON ! :thumbdown !

Some people are so pushy. I am glad you stood your ground with her.

I called our human society here and asked about her..........she also owns about 5 or 6 yorkies and 3 chiuaua's and some other small dogs.........she breeds as well according to the human society and the rep is less than desirable.......she is not a Kennel and doesn't advertise for sale sooooooooo I'm guessing she puts these poor pups into her store and possibly others!
its sad.........so she better not contact me again!
to take a precious gift and exploit it......... :mad: is disgusting!

We were wondering the same thing ......the only thing we have in common other than living in same city .............is "our Vet Clinic"!!!!
so I am going to call the clinic..........I know it would never be one of the Vets as they are such Angels & very Professional! Could it possibly be someone in the office, I hope to find out! I am also a community Nurse & my main case load is Palliative Care...so I know many ppl in the community and they also know we have pups! My money right now is someone at the Vet Clinic! What do you think??

Well make sure she's on the end of that door...Lol .. I hope no-one in the vets office gave her your info, But sounds like it ! a vet in my area does share breeder information but only at the request of the breeder ???? I would look into this furthur !! Dont want your personal info floating to the wrong hands !!

I bet she didn't want a pet - she probably wants to breed any puppy she gets and probably thought you'd see dollar signs like she does...people have tons of nerve and that really isn't the word I want to use here :(

I think your right Villette!.........I went to the Vet Clinic,actually just got back and he is definately going to look into this matter further! He is aware of this lady and suggested she was probably trying to purchase more females or to bring new blood into her dogs........( ok this does confuse me a little) and I told him so..He said he couldn't go into detail, but If I was to ask his Professional opinion because I was interested in purchasing one of her pups, he would advise me!.......OK :D I'll bite...so I played the game and said I was interested in buying a pup from her ....he than said he would advise me against it.........2 words "liver shunt"! Why we need to play games.......any way Peiter is looking into this matter for me!
She hasn't emailed me or called me as yet..........maybe she found out I have been checking her out!

Sounds like bad news to me,,, she wanted your dog to breed , cause her dogs have liver shunt.. If she calls or emails, I'd tell her just how I felt! :thumbdown

Wow, The nerves of that lady. Im so glad that you put your foot down and didnt fell for it. That lady is bad news.

Good job on standing your ground and looking into her! I can't believe some people who have that nerve!

Sounds like a nut case to me. I'd let your hubby deal with her if she shows up, and then I'd call the police.
