Valentine's Pictures? Hey guys! Question for you....any ideas on places to go to take pix for our Valentine's Ball? Katie Scarlett's dress should be on the way soon. I want to be ready and go have her pix made. I will have to make these myself since I won't have the time to let a professional do it and get them back in time. I found a few props I might use, but we do not have anywhere in our house that is 'pretty' enough. LOL. My Mom has a beautiful home but seeing as she lives in Alabama, that might be a high gas bill to drive for a photo taking session. :) I thought about going to a local park we have that is really pretty, but it is so cold IDK if Katie Scarlett would sit still. Poor thing would be freezing to death. I wish I could just go in the furniture store and set her on something pretty to take a pic, but I'm sure they wouldn't like that. LOL. Any ideas on places I might could go to take good pix? If I could figure out how to photoshop her picture onto a nice background, I would do that, but IDK if I can figure that one out. I have photoshop and could try it out I guess. They need nice furniture at Petco/Petsmart so you can take pix. LOL. So any ideas? Thanks guys! ;) |
Wow that is a lot to think about. I' dont think I would try the furniture store idea.... and your right, out side is too cold. What about just on a table decorated with your Valentines day decor. Thats what I'm doing. Set the scene...:love:a nice back drop, :rose40:flowers:rose:, candles, :2hearts2:hearts :heart48:and one beautiful little Yorkie to pull it all together. :2puppy: I have two girls to do so I see a long day ahead. Im just waiting on Brandi's dress. I will have treats in hand and my patience in check ! |

Good thinking! I have plenty of props. I love to decorate. I need a backdrop though. I'll have to go on the hunt for that. I wonder if I could use our bedding on our bed? It looks pretty. LOL. :) Thanks guys for the ideas! YT'ers are the best! |
I was going to suggest a backdrop over your sofa too. I do that all the time. It doesn't have to be fancy either since you want the focus to be on your beautiful KS!! Sometimes if you get a little of the edge in your picture it can be easily cropped out. Can't wait to see!!! |
I agree. Keep background simple -- a colored sheet over the sofa works great. For the video, backgrounds are usually cut out anyway so the couple can be maneuvered closer together. |
For Sophie & Sam's Christmas pic, I just threw a piece of white furry fabric over my chair; took the pic and just photoshopped out any wrinkles, etc. :) |
I use fabric for my backdrops also...and I sure don't have a fancy house :D |
I use fleece for my background. And as far as props, I just get things around the house. For Mikki's picture I just used a white rose that I had. :) I actually take my girls pictures in my bathroom. I have a huge window in there and the lighting is just better than any other places in my house. I have found that lighting makes a HUGE difference. :D |
I agree with everyone. I have a few sheets, blankets, and tablecloths that make good backdrops! Looking forward to seeing Miss Katie Scarlett's pixies! :) |
I would just find a really pretty fabric and work from there. Use your imagination and we all know you have one cause we have seen some of the things you have created. Good luck |
