Wish us luck... Well, today is Andy's first day at home alone. I go back to work after some time off for the holidays. We tried to schedule our new addition at this time so that we could have someone with him all day. Now, it's time to get back to the real schedule. Andy will be home alone for 6 hrs today. I'm hoping we wont have to crate him. He's done real well in the past week, potty training seems done. He's a sleeper, too. He seems to like to sleep till noon. Wife gets home at 2:30. Hopefully He'll do well. It breaks my heart to leave him. He LOVES to go. I have to hold my foot at the door to keep him from following me out. Then, I can here him barking, like he's saying, "Hey, where you going? I wanna go too!" Seems wierd to say this. But I think it's harder leaving the little furbutt home alone, than it was leaving my kids alone the first couple of times. |
Aw! Hopefully he'll do fine.... :D |
Awww! I know the feeling! We gave in. The one time we tried to leave KS alone to go to the grocery store, we couldn't take those sad barks. She has never been left alone for more than 5 minutes I guess. If we have to go where she can't go and it's for a long time, she goes to day care. My parents have babysat too. She is spoiled rotten I know! I hope your little one has a good day! :) |
same with my cedric...he only has been alone a couple of times for a very few minutes. my parents will babysit if we cannot make it work!! i love my furbutts!! lol |
I'm home a lot and when I do leave it's only for a few hours at time. The times I have been gone of up to 6 hours, when I come home Gracie is shaking and very distressed. She doesn't understand it. So I try to take her with me when I am going to be gone for several hours at a time. The dog I had before her was used to being home alone while we were gone during the day. It's hard to change something they have become used to. |
