Thanks everyone for tips/pix on the onesies. Katie Scarlett is in her first onesie right now. I'll snap some pix soon! :)
I think I need to go watch GWTW again. I love this movie. :D

Well hopefully Prissy will do better than Mags did. I don't know why, but I just haven't had the best of luck with spays. Even my boxer girl Gracie, I had her spayed here about a month and a half ago and she wasn't alone through the first 5 days afterwards, but yet AGAIN, the next morning her spay, she split open to:( So, back to the vet we went and he reclosed her and put her on antibiotics. I just don't get it either, cause I always stay with them and have E-collars on them so they can't chew, I don't let them run, jump or get up and do hardly anything but go potty, and they both split open. When I take Jazzie in to get her spayed, I think I'm gonna ask doc if he'll put a stitch or two in just for good measure, instead of just using the surgical glue.

This is what worked for me. Take side snap and cross over to first snap.

Prior to her surgery, ZoE's vet asked how active is usually is (if she's a run around or layaround kind of pup...) As she is very active, he chose to do regular stitches on her that had to be taken out a week later. The incision area has healed so perfectly, you can't even tell she was spayed as there is absolutely no scar.

Same here. The point of the onesie is to fit loosely and not rub against her in any way, yet still be a barrier so she won't get to her stitches.

Mags healed up really good to, which I was really surprised since she split open like that, you can't even see where it was done at. Gracie on the other hand, her being a lot bigger, I'm wondering if I'll always be able to see the scar or if it'll fade in time.

I don't think size has anything to do with it. Both of mine (male and female) have absolutely no scars. I'm totally jealous of their skin's ability to heal without scars :p

Gracie isn't a yorkie, she's a boxer girlie, her scar is wayyyy bigger. She had a lump removed on her back the same day and so far, it's very visible, not like Mags at all.

don't you think that with the onesys that have no legs, that the dog can still get
into the area by pushing the fabric at the top of the thigh area to the side, that's what Lolo did. I guess if the leg opening was really tight it would be Ok, but I think a longer leg would be safer

Katie Scarlett is doing good in her onesie so far. I unsnap it and roll it up before potty time and it's worked out good. She hasn't even tried messing with her stitches since I put her onesie on. :)
